Okay, these globes appear to work and they don't appear to work. I have a number of African Violets and use the globes for them. However, on three of the plants, when I inserted the globes they immediately emptied all the water into the soil. The other four appeared to work as they should. I tried refilling the emptied globes and putting them back in the fully watered plants and they immediately emptied again. I had the same experience with larger type globes and some different plants. All the plants had been on the same watering schedule and should have been equally dry, not dry, whatever. It's a mystery to me. I may be doing something wrong but I sure can't figure out what. On a positive note, the globes really look pretty with the plants, water in them or not.
