I've used a lot of products, many of which were prescription from the dermatologist, and the only thing that every helped was prescription antibiotics. There is evidence that even taking low doses continually is bad for you (I don't remember the exact issue). Now I use this each a.m. and each p.m. and the rosacea has improved dramatically and my pores are clear. I don't have any peeling or irritation from it.

I had researched rosacea via Google Scholar and had found that glycolic acid peels were being used successfully for rosacea. I did not want to spend the money to do that, so decided to try a reasonably priced over-the-counter glycolic acid product. The first few days it stung a little before I rinsed it off but that has stopped. I massage it on dry skin then do a few things around the house for 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing it off. You should not use it on wet skin or mix it with water as that changes the pH. Only use water when you are ready to rinse it off. You can start with once a day, then go to twice a day, if you are nervous about how your skin will react. I have pretty sensitive skin and went to twice a day after only 4 days.

Aqua Glycolic's Facial Wash is a product everyone over 30 can definitely benefit from. If you have not used glycolic acid washes before, you might not appreciate the "creamy" cleansing you get rather than the "soapy lather" that most people like and expect from a cleanser. It may not feel like it is doing anything to clean your skin, but it is. Dermatologists tell us that gentle cleansers are the best cleansers because they are formulated closer to our own skin's PH balance.

I have oily, acne prone skin and this cleanser seemed to emulsify the sebum that clogged my pores. My acne decreased because this cleanser gently exfoliated my skin, keeping the old, dead top layer
from clogging the opening of the pore. In fact, after a few days of using this, you will notice a kind of "skin dandruff" which is just the old top layer being gently peeled off by the glycolic acid. Try this: At the end of a very warm shower, gently scrape your nails in circular motion around your chin and cheeks and you can feel the old skin rolling off. You can do this with a wash cloth, too, but with the nail you can really feel the skin you are peeling off (Biore strip lovers will appreciate this experience!) You will be thrilled with how smooth and clear your skin looks afterwards.

Give this cleanser a try and then give it about 2 weeks to see GREAT results. It will not take 2 weeks...you will most likely see results in 3-5 days. I cannot imagine anyone not getting some pleasant result from this product. **Remember to follow directions on bottle -- its use is optimum when applied to the face DRY. I usually put it on before I step into the shower to give a chance to start working.

When I was receiving a facial several years ago, the esthetician suggested I try this line of products. (And she wasn't trying to sell it to me because they didn't stock this). I tended to have issues with Adult Acne - annoying large cysts along my jawline and they seemed to last forever. Within a short time of using this line of products, they stopped appearing and I just won't go back to using anything else. I have been using Aqua Glycolic for at least 3 years now and my skin looks and feels so much better! And the nice side effect is that I don't tend to use as much concealer or base makeup because I don't need to cover much up. For anyone with Adult Acne issues, I recommend trying these products. Hope you are as happy with the results!
