I've used a lot of products, many of which were prescription from the dermatologist, and the only thing that every helped was prescription antibiotics. There is evidence that even taking low doses continually is bad for you (I don't remember the exact issue). Now I use this each a.m. and each p.m. and the rosacea has improved dramatically and my pores are clear. I don't have any peeling or irritation from it.

I had researched rosacea via Google Scholar and had found that glycolic acid peels were being used successfully for rosacea. I did not want to spend the money to do that, so decided to try a reasonably priced over-the-counter glycolic acid product. The first few days it stung a little before I rinsed it off but that has stopped. I massage it on dry skin then do a few things around the house for 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing it off. You should not use it on wet skin or mix it with water as that changes the pH. Only use water when you are ready to rinse it off. You can start with once a day, then go to twice a day, if you are nervous about how your skin will react. I have pretty sensitive skin and went to twice a day after only 4 days.

Aqua Glycolic's Facial Wash is a product everyone over 30 can definitely benefit from. If you have not used glycolic acid washes before, you might not appreciate the "creamy" cleansing you get rather than the "soapy lather" that most people like and expect from a cleanser. It may not feel like it is doing anything to clean your skin, but it is. Dermatologists tell us that gentle cleansers are the best cleansers because they are formulated closer to our own skin's PH balance.

I have oily, acne prone skin and this cleanser seemed to emulsify the sebum that clogged my pores. My acne decreased because this cleanser gently exfoliated my skin, keeping the old, dead top layer
from clogging the opening of the pore. In fact, after a few days of using this, you will notice a kind of "skin dandruff" which is just the old top layer being gently peeled off by the glycolic acid. Try this: At the end of a very warm shower, gently scrape your nails in circular motion around your chin and cheeks and you can feel the old skin rolling off. You can do this with a wash cloth, too, but with the nail you can really feel the skin you are peeling off (Biore strip lovers will appreciate this experience!) You will be thrilled with how smooth and clear your skin looks afterwards.

Give this cleanser a try and then give it about 2 weeks to see GREAT results. It will not take 2 weeks...you will most likely see results in 3-5 days. I cannot imagine anyone not getting some pleasant result from this product. **Remember to follow directions on bottle -- its use is optimum when applied to the face DRY. I usually put it on before I step into the shower to give a chance to start working.

When I was receiving a facial several years ago, the esthetician suggested I try this line of products. (And she wasn't trying to sell it to me because they didn't stock this). I tended to have issues with Adult Acne - annoying large cysts along my jawline and they seemed to last forever. Within a short time of using this line of products, they stopped appearing and I just won't go back to using anything else. I have been using Aqua Glycolic for at least 3 years now and my skin looks and feels so much better! And the nice side effect is that I don't tend to use as much concealer or base makeup because I don't need to cover much up. For anyone with Adult Acne issues, I recommend trying these products. Hope you are as happy with the results!

I have used EVERYTHING.....and I have finally find my miracle products. I absolutely love the three products (cleanser, toner and face lotion). I have very mild adult acne (usually around that time of the month) and resently started getting more blackheads and enlarged pores. I started using Aqua Glycolic and my skin looks amazing. Acne is almost 100% gone, my pores are smaller and blackheads are going away. The cleanser is a cream like - so it won't strip your skin - but it really does clean (I tried Cetaphil and hated it). The combo of all three producst is key. The toner feels great - gets rid of anything left on your face - and exfoliates your skin. The face lotion is not greasy and is VERY concentrated. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (ps - i'm 28)

Aqua Glycolic is usually kept behind the Pharmacy counter. The Cleanser is used as a base for some dermatology formulations due to its 12% glycolic acid concentration. Aqua Glycolic cleanser unclogs pores, stimulates cell turnover, smoothes and softens skin. My dermatologist told me to use this cleanser in the treatment of my adult acne and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation to be followed by prescription creams for morning(Hydroquinone) and bedtime (Retin-A).

WARNING: This cleanser may sting your skin! If your skin is sensitive only use it at bedtime until your skin adjusts(about a week). Then use it morning and night. Follow the Aqua Glycolic directions EXACTLY - apply it to DRY skin for maximum effectiveness. Be sure to use sunscreen because your new skin is sun-sensitive.

I came back to Aqua Glycolic because my health insurance no longer reimburses for prescriptions considered cosmetic. As my budget tightens, I cannot afford the $100 per tube for newer treatments like Tri-luma Cream (glycolic acid, hydroquinone, Retin-A) or Medi-Spa appointments for facials and monthly glycolic acid peels. For less than 30 bucks you can have 12 ounces of both a cleanser AND treatment for fine lines, wrinkles and skin discoloration delivered to your door. Ladies, this is way more effective than most things at your department store and more cost effective.

Aqua Glycolic Cleanser is highly recommended by my Pharmacist as the best value product for clearer, smoother skin. He said if you can stand it, leave the cleanser on for 5 minutes before adding water and massaging it into your skin before rinsing. He then applies it again after skin dries and lets it dry as a night time treatment. He has clear, smooth and glowing skin even though he shaves. Value at 25 bucks.

I have been suffering from acne for ten years from the tender age of 13 to now 23. Right now my acne is moderate but it used to be severe when I was younger. Anywho, Ive tried many products but this one is my favorite so far. Ive been using the facial cleanser for about three weeks and it has done wonders for my skin. It lightens redmarks (it actually got rid of some of them) and it prevents new acne. Im not getting as many pustules. I still have them mind you, but they are much less everyday.

If you havent used this product, try it! It really is a miracle product :)

I was an avid user of MD Formulations III Cleanser. This has the exact same ingredients and is a lot less inexpensive. Very good cleaner. My pores are smaller and my complexion overall looks improved. And as a 40-somethng, I find that it helps with the fine lines as well.

Most people want their face wash to foam but some of the best cleanser like Aqua do not. Foaming cleaners tends to needlessly suck the moisture from your skin. for people with dry skin, that can make your situation worse. The beauty of Aqua is that the glycolic acid will do all the work for you. it will cleanse your face and also work to gently remove dead skin. This is essential for people who naturally have dry skin or due to acne.

This cleanser is the best I've ever used. Seriously. After using it twice a day for a couple of months my sporadic break-outs have practically ceased. Doesn't over dry the skin either. I wished something like this had come along when I was a teenager.

I have been using this product for over 15 years and I am over 50 and don't have any wrinkles yet and I have very smooth skin. I get complements on how nice my skin is all the time. I love this stuff, hope they always make it.
