4.0 out of 5 stars Great Flotation Device for children 60lbs or more
This is a great device in that it works and performs very well although, for my 5yr old who is barely 45 lbs, these slipped up and down her arms. I had to fold one of the squares over in order for this to fit securely around her arm and even with that temporary fix, the more the played in the water, the looser they became. Although they served their purpose well. Just...

1.0 out of 5 stars What a JOKE!
I bought these for my 4 1/2 year old because he doesn't like to wear the water rings anymore and I thought they would help him learn to swim on his own. I pulled them out of the package to try them on him when we got home and they were HUGE. They fit on my arm comfortably. I am 5 '3 125 lbs and my arms are not that big around, I don't even think these would fit my 11 yr...

There is no way he will be able to wear these when he is six which is the max age limit for them. If your child is obese then they will probably fit! If they only had 3 panels and not 4 they might fit him. I am so disguted!!

We got these for our 4.5 yr old twins. They were too big for their arms and not bouyant enough to support either 40lb boy.
Positively Dangerous!

1.0 out of 5 stars They must be joking!, September 9, 2009

I bought these for my 3 year old son, and they are absolutely useless. Yes, they are way too big, but I was able to secure them tightly around my sons arms, only to discover that they do not keep him afloat AT ALL. I do not live in the US currently, therefore I'm not able to attempt returning them to the store I purchased them from so I called the company (Aqua Leisure) directly to see what my options were, for returning the product, only to find out that this product according to their description (read by a customer service rep) is not meant to be a 'flotation device'at all. It's a device to 'help your child learn to swim'. The adult is suppose to support the child while they are learning to swim. I told the Rep this makes no sense at all. What exactly is the product doing if I have to fully support my child while he is wearing these, and can't let him go, because he won't float? They said they would be able to replace them if there was a defect. Seriously, isn't the design defective?

They were twice the size of my 6 year old's arms, and they did not help him a bit. I agree that they are down right dangerous.

2.0 out of 5 stars BIG!, July 6, 2010

I totally agree with the previous reviewer. Got these for my 4 year old (big kid - about the size of a 5 1/2 year old) and they are humongous. No way can they be used, they'd fall right off even on their tightest setting. No idea why they are being marketed and sold for little ones as, with few exceptions, they aren't going to fit any of them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Safe!!!!!, July 2, 2006
This review is from: Aqua Leisure Aqua Leisure Swim School Foam Arm Bands (Toy)
These arm bands are NOT SAFE! They do not attach securely to the child's arms. When they become wet, they slide off very easily. The attachment piece doesn't allow much room to adjust the size for the arms. I highly discourage parents from buying these.

I purchased these for my son. They are useless. They don't hold him up at all.
