Makes swimming with a cap more fun,
This review is from: Aqua Sphere Aqua Glide Silicone Swim Cap (Sports)
I was looking for a swim cap that wouldn't be so tight on my head and wasn't too difficult to put on. I don't know of any cap that keeps the water completeley out, but this one does quite well. I am also finding that I very seldom get water in my ears. If I do, it usually means that that cap has shifted on the ears slightly - my fault of course (I lift up the ear areas to hear people talk better). Once I readjust the ear area, I'm water free again. The top and back of my head stay completely dry. The only place it might get wet is at the bottom neckline - again, I think it might be from me lift up the ear areas. All-in-all, I think it's a great swim cap.

I am 5'11 and have a slightly larger head than the average 5'2 swimmer. This cap is easy to put on, and covers my long curly hair completely. Happy swimming!

Good fit. The "ear cups" do provide a better fit and slightly better protection of the ear (I tend to get water in my ear even wearing a cap and ear plugs). The inside surface is not smooth like most caps; it has a dimpled surface that helps keep the cap in place once it is on. Nice color (blue). There is a small tab on the back center of the cap giving you an easier spot to grab for adjusting cap position on your head.

First off: I swim laps so my head is in the water, not water aerobics. I got this cap thinking it would keep my hair dry as my old cap never did. It was so tacky/sticky I never should have tried putting it on, but I didn't let that deter me as I was on a quest for dry hair! I wrestled with this thing for 10 minutes. I never got it fully on and when I tried to take it off it took bunches of hair. It just wouldn't let go of my hair. I even had a hard time pulling them off the cap! OMG! I could go bald!!!
I now use it with good results by first putting on my old cap, which I got at Walmart and has sort of a cloth texture (don't remember the brand), then I put this cap over it. I was surprised! My hair is relatively dry and this cap doesn't get near my hair!!! A lot of work for dry hair. Is there a cap that is easy to put on and keeps the hair dry?? I would love to know what one it is! Would I buy another one like this? No! Would I recommend it? No! However, I have it and I am using it. So if you have it, you could try my method. :-\

I had high hopes for this swim cap. I used it the second time yesterday and while putting it on, it split apart near the ear area. I don't believe I was pulling it particularly hard (plus I have a small head). The material just tore apart, rendering it useless. I'm really sorry this happened. I'll just stick to cheaper swim caps.

I bought this cap after reading the reviews here, and after using it for the first time, I have to say this cap is AWESOME. I have a larger than average head, and I swim quite fast, so you can imagine that normal caps don't work for me - if I can even get them on in the first place I am constantly having to tug them to keep them in place, and they never cover all my hair. This cap, however, is perfect for me! Very stretchy material makes it easy to put on and comfortable to wear (no "head in vice" syndrome), provides complete coverage (you can tell just by looking at the picture, actually, but wearing it confirms it), nubs on the inside and ear pockets to help keep the cap in place. I wear ear plugs and this cap actually has space to accommodate them. I LOVE THIS CAP. I can't speak to its durability since I've only used it once, and if you're looking for something "pretty" then this is probably not the cap for you... but I would recommend this cap to swimmers with larger heads who want full coverage in a heartbeat.
EDIT: After a couple of months of daily exposure to chlorine, this cap is still going strong.

I've tried several brands of lycra and silicone swim caps and this is definitely the best fit. I must have a large head because even the caps for long hair did not stay on my head well. This one covers my ears and stays down well.

Tired of washing my 5 1/2 year old daughter's hair after every swim class, I decided to get her a swim cap. After no success getting a kid-sized silicone Speedo cap on her over her thick shoulder-length hair, I went looking for an adult cap. I let my daughter help me pick one out so she would be more likely to wear it. She picked this Aqua Sphere one because she liked the ear pockets. I like that the silicone on this cap is thinner and easier to stretch than other caps. The back of my daughter's hair does get a little wet with this cap, but reviews for other caps said the same thing. My other daughter (3 1/2) wears a Speedo Kaleidoscope cap which allows her hair to get a little wet in the back too. The silicone on that cap is thicker. It is difficult to compare, but the Aqua Sphere cap might let in a little more water (perhaps due to the thinner silicone) than my other daughter's Speedo cap. But I'd have a lot more trouble getting that cap on my older daugher's head anyway, so the Aqua Sphere cap is good for her.

It took me quite a while to finally come up with an underwater music system set-up that actually works while I am swimming. I tried a bunch of different ear plugs and MP3 players. This cap was essential. While the cap was a bit small for my head, it was actually the perfect size for my music set-up. The bottom of the cap covered the earplugs and put just the right amount of pressure on the ear buds.

Aqua Sphere Aqua Glide Silicone Swim Cap (Black) I tucked the shuffle and wire under the back of my cap and slowly pushed the earbuds pretty deep into my ear canal. My swims seem to take half the time and I am swimming much faster.

I can't get water into my ears and have had problems with swim caps rising up over my ears. This cap lives up to its description and is working well. I have a smallish head and medium short hair. Highly recommended.
