Product Description

Amazon.com

The best-fitting swim goggle on the market, the Aqua Sphere Seal swim mask was first celebrated by Ironman triathletes, who praised its comfortable, watertight fit and easy-to-adjust buckles. However, these high-quality features soon became apparent to fitness and recreational swimmers as well, who use the goggles for swimming, jet skiing, surfing, and more. The Seal mask sports a dive-quality silicone skirt that's snug and secure, along with a patented curved lens that provides 180-degree peripheral vision without distortion. In addition, the Plexisol lens is protected by anti-scratch coating on the outside and an anti-fog coating on the inside, so you can easily see other swimmers in the water ahead. Finally, the mask is guaranteed to block 100 percent of the sun's harmful UV rays. Add the features together and you have a mask that lets you concentrate on your workout and not your equipment.

The Seal mask is available with two lens types: clear lenses, which are designed to provide the greatest visibility while swimming indoors or in low-light conditions, and tinted lenses, which are better when swimming outdoors or in bright light.

About Aqua Sphere
Established in the mid-'90s, Aqua Sphere has done more than any other company to improve the world of eye protection for swimmers. Aqua Sphere has been responsible for such products as Seal, the first swim mask featuring 180-degree vision, and Kaiman, the first panoramic goggle. Based in Vista, California, all Aqua Sphere eyewear is made exclusively at the company's facility in Genoa, Italy.

It is very comfortable, and seals well!

The mask is comfortable--no more raccoon eye, although it does leave a mark on my forehead.

I have tried different goggles and masks. I love the Seal Mask. It is very comfortable, and seals well! It is great to swim in and have a wider view.
Be aware that different people have different sized and shaped faces. Just because this mask fits me perfectly, doesn't mean it will fit you well. That doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the mask! It just means THIS mask doesn't fit YOU. Aqua Sphere also makes a Seal Mask XP which fits differently than this mask. So if THIS mask doesn't fit you, maybe try the XP. If neither mask fits you well, try another mask, and keep trying different masks until you find one that fits you.
To be sure a swim mask fits you properly, you should be able to press it into position onto your face, and have it stay there by suction (without the straps) for a bit. If it doesn't stay there, then that particular model of swim mask doesn't fit YOU. That doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the mask! Try a different mask.

I have all 3 - the Seal, Vista, & Kayenne. I think the fit of these mask/goggles are very personal, so it's hard to really say if it will work for you or not. The best I can do is comment on the quality, function, and fit FOR ME. I guess I have kind of a narrow face if that helps. By the way, all 3 are excellent quality and I don't believe I will ever buy any other brand goggles/mask again because they are so nice.
Seal - Biggest and best vision and super comfortable. Leaks a little for me, but not a showstopper. The leaking could probably be fixed if I tightened it more. The thing I like best is that it doesn't give me raccoon eyes after I swim (looks like I have black eyes if you never experienced it).

Vista - Very comfortable, good vision, but not quite as good as the Seal. For me, this one leaked the most out of the 3. It just seems that it fit somewhere between my eye sockets and my face, and for whatever reason it couldn't make a good seal there. Again, the nice thing is no raccoon eyes.

Kayenne - Pretty comfortable, though not as much as the Seal or Vista. This one is the only one of the 3 that doesn't leak at all for me. They are more minimalist (smaller) so the vision isn't as good as the Seal or Vista, but still very good compared to other brands. So overall, they are lightest, smallest, and best fit. The ONLY reason this is my least favorite is because it gives me raccoon eyes.

So for me, Seal are my overall favorite, though if I wasn't worried about raccoon eyes, I would choose the Kayenne.

My wife and I have used Aqua Sphere swim masks for a number of years. I particularly like this style for a number of reasons. The mask is the closest I have come to using a leak proof mask for swimming. Yes, once in while the does leak when the strap becomes loose and has to be readjusted. The mask fits nicely on my face and I do not have to attempt to create a tight seal by pressing on the mask. I just put the mask on and it is watertight. I probably swim 200 days a year and Aqua Sphere will last far more than a year before it becomes unusable and leak. During the summer I swim in the ocean and find the smoked lens helpful. I have tried many swim goggles and this model of Aqua Sphere is by far the best.

I just couldn't find any goggles that wouldn't leak and/or leave a huge indent in my face for hourse after wearing...so, got these. I use for training and sprint-triathlons and so far, so good. I've used them for about 5 hours of swimming so far, and rinse them off afterwards. Starting to lose some of the seal...thus, 4 stars instead of 5.

We discovered these goggles by accident in a store last summer and have loved them ever since. My 7 year old son really likes the comfort and seal. I myself wear them as an adult because I can really see (!!) under water and they are comfortable to wear...They are lighyears ahead from the small eye goggles people usually wear. They are great in the sea or in a pool. They come in cool colors so every member of family can easily spot their own. The strap is also easy to adjust.

I bought my first Aqua Sphere product, the Seal mask, when I was 11 or 12 years old. At the time I paid about $50 for them at a Sharper Image store, but I was impressed by the claims and all other goggles I had tried leaked. I wear prescription glasses and have sensitive eyes, so I hate swimming without goggles and hate getting chlorine in my eyes. When I first tried these I was blown away. They don't leak, and they have an incredibly wide field of vision with incredible clarity. When I'm underwater in Aqua Sphere goggles, I can see everything in the water, almost like I'm wearing my prescription glasses. I used my seal mask religiously for about 10 years before it started wearing out and leaking a little bit. I ended up replacing it with a set of Kaiman and Kayenne goggles, because I wanted to try something a little smaller, but I have nothing but positive experiences with my Seal mask. I would highly recommend it or any other Aqua Sphere goggles. They are definitely the only brand I buy now.

I got these and another pair of plain goggles, these are much better. Much more comfortable and the anti-fog coating works great. Sure you may look a little goofy, but it is worth it to not have your eyes being sucked out! Kind of like a baby scuba mask, and streamlined. Would buy again or as gift.
