Great Adult Swim Show,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Aqua Teen Hunger Force 4 (DVD)
This is a great show. It is the best ORIGINAL show on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. It is about the adventures of a meatball named Meatwad, and box of fries named Frylock, and a shake name Master Shake. This is a very funny show that should be viewed by all. But be warned some of you might not get the humor so before you spend your money on this box set I would first check out the show on Cartoon Network. But after you see it you'll probably want to own all of the box sets like I did. All the information for this box set is listed below.

Master Shake is my idol,

This review is from: Aqua Teen Hunger Force 4 (DVD)
This collection catches us up with all the aired episodes
Video Ouija - Meatwad finally gets one up on Master Shake Unremarkable Voyage Mooninites 3: Remooned - why are the Moonites so damn funny? Science. Gee Whiz - Ted Nugent and the most controversal episode of ATHF since the last. eDork - the curse of being an early adopter. The follow up to PDA Little Brittle - you cant keep a good rapper in hell for too long Robositter - Pure freakish gold - especially when Frylock and Master Shake get jobs at the mall with the world's worst idea for an Orange Julius rip off. Mooninites 4: MoonMasters - Moonites and a videogame. Gotta love the angle. Diet - slimming Dusty Gozongas - Scott Thompson does an amazing stripper turned civil servent T-shirt of the Dead - a Christmas tradition in our house Hypno-germ - Not one of my favorties. Carl - Do not touch Carl's can This is the 21st Century Rocky and Bullwinkle. So much to quote and so little makes enough sense to tell your parents about.

Fantastic 4,

This review is from: Aqua Teen Hunger Force 4 (DVD)
After every season of ATHF, I declare "That's it." I am certain that Matt and Dave will have nowhere to go now, that they have used up every possible hilarious random event they could come up with, and the show will go stale. And every season, they continue to surprise me. I said they couldn't beat "Dumber Dolls" with alcoholic doll Happy Time Harry, and they came back with "Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past". I said they couldn't beat that, and they gave me Willie Nelson, the out-of-touch monster of "The Shaving". What could beat that? Try "Gee Whiz".
Don't think they got it right on just one episode, either. The dynamic writing duo nailed it all season. From the opener "Video Oujia", where Meatwad communicates with the dead through his Atari 2600, to "Carl", where the trio leaves town for spring break, and Carl goes all Castaway by talking with inanimate objects...until Rudy the housesitting robot blows him away for "attempted robbery". The first thing you'll notice about this season is the change-up in the opening. It looks like Dr. Wierd and Steve have left to make way for "Spacecataz", the hilarious ongoing conflict between the Mooninites and Plutonians. Speaking of Mooninites, the 2-dimensional tag team actually guest star in two episodes this season ("Remooned" and "Moon Master"), as opposed to the usual one. MC Pee Pants comes back (in a new body, of course) for "Little Brittle". But the best episodes are always the ones just having the guys dealing with problems that they usually wind up creating themselves. Take one of my favorites, "Unremarkable Voyage", where Frylock's shrink ray becomes Master Shake's favorite new toy. Words, however, cannot do any of these episodes justice. They have to be seen. Any remote fan of the show will thoroughly enjoy every minute of it.

If you enjoyed the first three seasons of Aqua Teen Hunger Force as much as I did, get ready for some changes in Season Four: some good, some bad.
The 'Play All' function doesn't work properly ... on purpose. If you select 'Play All', the DVD literally does that, all the episodes at once in small squares on a single screen. It's very annoying. So each episode has to be played individually, and the Off/On selection for Commentaries has to be selected each time also. I prefer to select all episodes and kick back rather than having to mess with the remote. Second, there are no Dr. Weird intros. The episode intros involve an ongoing skirmish between the Mooninites and the Plutonians. In the extras on the second DVD, you can play this skit in full. In addition, the boys start dropping the f-bomb (which is beeped out) more often, instead of using the word 'Freakin' as they did in the first three sets. The plotlines are darker and bloodier, and there are fewer 'aliens'. I miss special characters such as Happy Time Harry, Willie Nelson, and The Wisdom Cube, though we meet wrench monsters briefly in 'Dusty Gozongas'. DISC ONE: 1) Video Ouija - Master Shake kills himself to torment Meatwad as a dead person in his video game. Frylock hires a chicken witch doctor to resurrect him. 2) Unremarkable Voyage - Frylock makes a shrink ray. Shake shrinks everyone but makes the TV and a hot dog bigger. At the end, Carl's crabs get "enhanced". 3) Mooninites 3: Remooned - Ignignot and Err steal Ignignot's uncle Cliff's government check and try to cash it on earth. Frylock reverses the rays on the microwave. 4) Gee Whiz - A billboard is put up that the town sees a picture of Jesus in, but the ATHF can't say 'Jesus' because its not politically correct. Later, it turns out to be Ted Nugent. 5) Edorn - Shake gets an e-Helmut, and starts to add new features. It weighs a ton and doesn't do anything that a cell phone doesn't do. Carl gets the extra e-helmet and downloads farm porn. 6) Little Brittle - the diaper wearing Spider is back (MC Pee Pants, Sir Loin), but he's back as Little Brittle and the C-Bag. This time he's in the form of an old man in a nursing home. 7) Robositter - Frylock and Shake have to get jobs, so Frylock builds a babysitter for Meatwad. DISC TWO: 1) Mooninites 4: The Final Mooning - The Mooninites sell a Moonmaster pyramid marketing scheme to Meatwad, Shake, and Carl. 2) The South Bronx Parasite Diet - Carl goes on a diet, but doesn't realize the nutrition bars he's eating are filled with parasites. 3) Dusty Gozongas - A stripper working for the city comes to repair the gas pipes Shake pulled up. Wrench monsters come from space to get Dusty to dance. 4) T-Shirt Of The Dead - Shake steals Osiris's T-shirt but Meatwad washes and shrinks it. Now only Meatwad can wear it, and he uses its power to summon the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus, among others. Very funny! 5) Hypno Germ - Shake gets hypno germs from sitting on a gas station toilet. The antidote is Mexican jumping beans, and the beans and germs hold a play in Shake's mind. 6) Spacegate World - While the ATHF vacation in Panama, Carl gets lonely. He goes over to the ATHF's house to make long distance calls and meets both Rudy the robot and Frylock's Spacegate, which steals skin. -- Extras include the full Spacecataz skit with the Mooninites and Plutonians, a really stupid homemade skit called Raydon, some ATHF animation to rap music, fan art, and scenes from behind the microphone. Even though this fourth set doesn't quite measure up to the first three, its still one of the funniest, and strangest, cartoons you will ever find. If you are just now introducing yourself to Aqua Teen Hunger Force, I strongly recommend picking up the first three seasons first. Enjoy!

ATHF Vol 4,
By Mammoth (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Aqua Teen Hunger Force 4 (DVD)
This particular set has only one major drawback for me...The Play All gag...funny as hell...but annoying that they didn't at least hide an easter egg or something to play them all consecutively rather than simultaneously...
The episodes are great though...the only ones I personally find lacking are the Robositter and Dusty Gazongas episodes... The Gee Whiz episode, which covers the subject of standards and practices is HILARIOUS...featuring the Nuge as Gee Whiz himself.. And for the fans of MC Chris...he's back..this time as Little Brittle...(Previously he was MC Pee Pants, then Sir Loin...some might merely remember him as Heche on Sealab)...Not necessarily the best MC Chris episode...but it's always fun to hear what he comes out with... There is decidedly more violence in this set...but I personally see it done in a way to add to its hilarity... And besides...where else can you hear Santa say..."I'm gonna beat the s*** outta that little meatball"...or "You know that remote control car he wanted...oooh he'll get it all right...right up his a**" Pure Comic Genius...

Every season of Aqua Teen is pure magic. In my humble opinion, the show got better with each year. Season four is the purest of all. Simply hilarious. But don't take my word for it, allow the show to speak for itself:
"Bitch, get away from my socks, I'll stab you in the neck with this picture of my grandson!" ~ Little Brittle (Talking to Frylock who is off to work) "What are you gonna do? Sell out to the man? Well I'll be here. Keepin' it real." ~ Master Shake "I was touched...by the power...on my unit. In broad daylight. Starring Lou Diamond Phillips." ~ Meatwad "Egypt is so boring. It doesn't even exist. I mean, you don't hear DMX rap about it." ~ Master Shake "Prepare for a pride-obliterating bitch slap" ~ Ignignokt (Upon observing Meatwad power-walking) "What are you freakin' doin' that for? You're just gonna die." ~ Carl "I AM FROM THE DAGOBAH SYSTEM" ~ Master Shake "Won't you help us save our craps?" ~ Err

Episode Guide Part Deux,
By K. Rossi "boomstick92" (South Jersey Shore) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Aqua Teen Hunger Force 4 (DVD)
This season is by far my favorite season. Each episode is absolutely hysterical.
Video Ouija - Shake's obsession with tormenting Meatwad leads to his own demise. Giant chickens for all! Unremarkable Voyage - Tiny Frylock, Carl, and Meatwad, followed by giant crabs. If they get near ya, hit em with the shampoo. Mooninites 3: Remooned - Bored Mooninites lead to hilarious mayhem. Gee Whiz - Meatwad is touched by the power. On his unit. In broad daylight. Oh and Ted Nugent is in it too. eDork - Shake becomes obsessed with outdated technology. Hilarity ensues. Little Brittle - MC Pee Pants is my hero!! Robositter - Shake and Frylock in the workforce, Meatwad high as a kite, Carl with his pants down. Everybody wins. Mooninites 4: MoonMasters - Pyramid schemes are a recurring theme in ATHF, but this one beats them all. Diet - South Bronx Paradise, baby!! Dusty Gozongas - If you do not laugh at this one, there is something wrong with you. Shake and Carl fight over a stripper who doesn't know the difference between a walkie-talkie and a wrench. T-shirt of the Dead - The Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and 2 giant Easter eggs rolled into one episode of hilarity. Hypno-germ - Shake is taken over by hypno-germs that subject him to off-Broadway plays that the germs wrote... after they've been drinking... on the weekends. Very off-the-wall, but funny. Carl - Finally, Carl gets his own episode. One of my all-time favorites. I normally just watch ATHF when it comes on TV, but this season is definitely something I will buy. Don't miss it.

Least Favorite of the volumes.,
By
This review is from: Aqua Teen Hunger Force 4 (DVD)
My boyfriend bought Vol 4 for me for Christmas, because he knew how much I loved ATHF. I feel bad, because it is my least favorite volume and I don't play it that often. A lot of reviewers mentioned that the episodes in this volume was overly violent and/or disgusting. I will just say that it's a little oversaturated with "shock value" funny, which can get a little redundant. There are a only few episodes that I like. I feel that there is something missing compared to the past episodes.
For someone who has never seen or does not own any of the ATHF Volumes, I would not recommend buying this one first. I would recommend vol 1 or vol 3. As far as the actual DVD goes, there is a decent amount of extras, but I feel that the "play all" joke was just wrong and they could have at least hidden a way to play all of them. Like another reviewer, I actually thought it was my dvd, until I asked around. The fact that I have to individually select each episode to play instead of selecting for them to play one after another actually causes this volume to be singled out from the rest. I really love ATHF, but out of the four volumes, this one gets the least amount of play on the player.

What is up with "play all" feature?,
By
This review is from: Aqua Teen Hunger Force 4 (DVD)
I just bought this DVD today and tried hitting "play all" to play all of the episodes. Rather than play all the episodes sequentially, I get this screen with 13 tiny boxes playing all of the episodes simultaneously. Is my dvd defective or is this just part of the joke? Has anyone else experienced this? Of course the episodes are hilarious, but its a pain having to hit play after each episode.

I love all these dvds. My only complaint with volume 4 is the fact there is no play all feature. If there is secret way to make it work, please help me out.
