I'll start out by saying I wish I could give this product 5 stars. I love the taste and feel of this toothpaste, and it leaves my mouth feeling very clean. A very little amount goes a long way since it foams up so much.

However, the packaging is terrible. The toothpaste continues to leak out, it's a nightmare to travel with (leaked all over), and it is just very messy to deal with. A little bit goes a long way for brushing, but the product still disappears quickly as it leaks out.

Well, I've been using it for 4 months now, and it is really good toothpaste! I have thrown out any and all other toothpaste because I just don't use it. And the bottle of high alcohol content mouthwash is about to get thrown out too! Excuse me lady, but it really does remove 3X more bacteria because I never get gingivitus anymore! I'm forgetting to floss now! And the other dude ... the salesman who thinks he knows it all (don't they always) ... well who cares if it is "just soap". It works, uhh, dude. :)

First let me say that I was very impressed with this toothpaste. I got this as a sample and tried it out. The taste is mild and not that strong....which is fine with me. What was amazing is how little you need to foam up. Normally a pea sized ball is enough, I would say half of that should be fine. So, this certainly lasts longer than would a tube of toothpaste. Extra points for value and taste. I will tell you right now that the foam action isn't going to remove any significant amount of debris, as they state, and I get annoyed when they make such outrageous claims, (as well as killing UP TO 3x more bacteria....another wild claim). With that said, I took off a little, and the fact that a little kind of drips out after I put it away is enough to knock it to 4 stars. It is also not easy to put so little on your toothbrush at first and you have to kind of be quick about it or else you will end up looking quite rabid. My biggest complaint, and it counts for a one star deduction, the claim of whitening. Note that this complaint is not unique to this brand, however, you should know that there is nothing in this toothpaste (except abrasives) that will whiten your teeth. If you don't believe, note that the active ingredient is ONLY flouride. So, do not be fooled by that claim. Also, keep in mnind that anything abrasive enough to remove stains should not be used routinely as it will errode the enamel and may create sensitivity (at the very least). It is really impressive how much foam you will build up. I am a fan....though I won't be giving up my Sensodyne or Prevident any time soon. :-)

I have not used this product for very long, but I was recommended by my hygienist to give it a try and she uses it as well.

- It doesn't seem to clean any worse or better than other toothpastes I've used (hard to tell shortly after a professional cleaning).

- It has a milder flavor than most (I'm use to Arm and Hammer toothpaste just to give you a reference).

- It DOES foam. This is not a bad thing exactly, but if you put on more than a pea sized drop you're going to look and feel rabid. On the plus side, I've used less and felt full coverage of the toothpaste - experiment a bit (you can always add more).

- I can't confirm the claim that this toothpaste kills 3x as many bacteria. I'll await a review from consumers reports or some other source.

While I don't claim any special knowledge on the subject of toothpastes. I feel the reviewer giving one star may have been overly harsh to this product.
I saw nothing in the ingredients list that deviate from other common toothpastes (I looked at Crest and Arm and Hammer as I had them on hand). The only two ingredients I saw that may have trigger their response ("SOAP") would be Glycerine (also used in other toothpastes, foods, digestive aids, etc.) and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (which was in the crest, but not the Arm and Hammer).

I'll leave the rest up to you to look into if you're curious (hey, you're online, why not?). If it works for you, then great.

I really wanted to try this toothpaste because I thought for sure the foaming sensation would be amazing. But it's pretty gross, especially if you use just a little bit too much - you're mouth will be completely filled with foam! This sensation is very weird, since the foam doesn't have a particularly minty flavor. It just tastes like a plain mouthfull of foam. And, like so many others have said, the packaging is neat, but it makes a mess. I don't understand how this product could have gone through any kind of "testing" before being released to the public, and them NOT finding that it clearly leaks all over the place and makes a mess. I'm kind of insulted that Aquafresh boasts about this product and then ends up selling me such a poorly-made toothpaste. As for whitening, I couldn't really say, since I'm also using Rembrandt Whitening Mouthwash with Fluoride, Fresh Mint, 16-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 3) in conjunction, which does an AMAZING job of whitening on its own.

I will certainly not be buying this product again. Glad I gave it a try, though.

I am literally foaming at the mouth with this product. The gel expands as I brush, and the foam leaks out the corners of my mouth. Never seen the like. Not good tasting, and of curse a funny, well different, taste. I broke the action lever trying to figure how to spray the gel. Oops, no instructions (instructions on how to get toothgel out of a tube?!) The nozzle foams all on its own a few seconds after using, yucks up the plastic cover, which I often put on backside to, messing it further, which drips out on the counter the next time I use the can. So there's actually a lot of waste with this product, not to mention this is an aerosol.

What's to feel good about? I suppose I should just laugh at myself in the mirror, put some lipstick on my nose and clown around. It has no CFCs, and is recyclable, it says. (DON'T let your kids get ahold of this spray product-oh, my!!) I was surprised to find Amazon carried little consumables like this.

I almost threw up while brushing my teeth with it, it felt wrong, it IS wrong. I checked the ingredients.......it contains soap. No wonder it foams. I cannot believe they put this toothpaste on the market. My mouth does not feel clean, it feels violated.
