5.0 out of 5 stars scalp massager brush
This scalp massager brush works very well. It is a gentle, yet effective tool to safely massage your scalp. It is easy to clean and dries quickly.

I have no problems with the "hardness" of the pins. The hardness is normal from all the brushes I used. But I would not recommend this product due to it's shape. I have no problems with the "hardness" of the pins. The hardness is normal from all the brushes I used. But I would not recommend this product due to it's shape. It's convex instead of concave (ie. it curves outwards instead of inwards). This is extremely uncomfortable for me. It's like rubbing 2 hard balls together (your head and the brush). The contact area is very small and very painful. In physics terms, since the contact area is so small, your usual scrubbing force creates a higher than usual pressure.

Either buy a brush that's flat or concave. It fits the shape of your head better.

I had previously owned a scalp massager that looked almost identical to this one. I dropped it one too many times and it finally broke. This replacement is a bit of a disappointment compared to the one I had previously owned. The bristles on the bottom are made of a very stiff plastic and are painful on my scalp. The one I had previously had nubs that were rubberized, flexible and comfortable. It all depends on how hard you want the bristles to be.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too hard for my head, June 28, 2009
This review is from: AquaBella Scalp / Body Massager Brush (Health and Beauty)
A very attractive, crystal clear, scalp massager, which is much too hard for my (pretty tough) scalp. Using it was like rubbing small, smooth, but bumpy pebbles on my head -- can't imagine how it could be comfortably used.

Very cheap materials, much smaller than you'd guess and doesn't sit comfortably in your hand (and I have very small hands)

1.0 out of 5 stars Very hard spikes hurt scalp, May 14, 2010

It's very pretty and I wish I could use it. The "bristles" are just hard, plastic spikes with only the slightest flexibility. It hurts my scalp nearly to the point of injury! Someone failed to test this thing out!

Many women may want a tool for washing their hair without ruining their manicure, but this will not work. I love a good scrub and enjoy very stiff body and hair brushes, but this thing fails to be useful. Good design, but poor choice of material.

3.0 out of 5 stars They work, December 13, 2009

These are what they say they are, but I gave them 3 stars because they just were not exactly what I expected. They are made of a hard plastic material. They do work though and I use them, but I guess I was just expecting something more pliable.
