The T2 uses a rotating quad brush system with a patented flex-flap design to scrub waterline build-up and break up larger debris on the pools surface area, while the patented power-washing jets flush sand, silt, algae, and bacteria out from corners, creases, seams, and surface pores of the pool that the brushes can't reach. A powerful built-in pump motor vacuums in and circulates 5,000 gallons of water per hour, trapping all dirt, debris, algae, and micro-organisms inside the 19-quart internal reusable filter bag. The filter cleans out micro-organisms of up to two microns as well as leaves, hair, sand, and other dirt to ensure the healthiest swimming environment possible. The vacuum ports are located at the front and rear of the unit to avoid clogging and to ensure that all debris are collected from even the farthest reaches of the pool without hoses, and the extra-wide non-marring wheels cover all surfaces of the pool.
The T2 cleans in-ground pools of any shape and up to 50 feet long in just one hour. Pumping 5,000 gallons of water an hour without the pool's filter or booster pumps, the T2 increases water circulation and reduces your pool filter's operation time by as much as 25 percent. Increased water circulation also decreases the use of heat pumps or solar blankets and reduces chemical consumption by as much as 30 percent. Overall, the T2 can save you as much as 50 percent in maintenance costs, while greatly reducing environmental impact. Ease of use features on the Turbo T cleaner include: the E-Z Swivel Device to ensure a tangle-free power cable; a reset button to protect against out of water or premature operation; auto-shut off; and a customizable cleaning cycle for up to seven hours, or automatic operation with existing or auto-control pool equipment. The Turbo T's cleaner, cord, and power supply are ETL listed to UL Standards--the highest safety and reliability certification in the industry.
The Turbo T2 has a suggested run time of just one hour but can be customized for up to a seven-hour cleaning cycle. The self-contained reusable filter has a 19-quart capacity, and the device filters up to 5,000 gallons of water an hour. The pump motor is individually sealed and brushless oil-filled for lubrication and cooling and is also water-cooled. The drive motor is individually sealed and water-cooled. The power cord is 61 feet long, self-buoyant and constructed of durable, thermoplastic rubber that won't be degraded by chlorine. The estimated operating cost of the TurboT2 is 10 cents per cleaning cycle depending on local energy costs. The unit's energy needs are: 115 Volts / 60 Hz, 24 V and 140 Watts.

Pray you never need warranty work,

This review is from: Aquabot Turbo T4RC Robotic In-ground Pool Cleaner with Remote Control (Lawn & Patio)
I purchased an Aquabot when it first came out for an in-ground caged pool back in Florida. Had a Kreepy Krawley before that. Both worked great for cleaning up ants, sand and other minute debris that might work through the pool cage when it rained.
Ten years go by. I now live in the mid-Atlantic region. Have a 20 x 40 in-ground open sky saltwater pool with heat pump, sand filter and an AutoPilot saltwater chlorinating system. I bought another Aquabot... but this time bought the Turbo T-4 w/ remote from[...] online. I was sold on being able to do quick pool touch-ups using the remote control, and a 4 year warranty. Worked great at first, but the advantages quickly fade when used in the 'no pool cage' pool. Leaves, acorns, pine needles, tiny twigs and anything else the wind feels like blowing into the pool will quickly fill up the small filter bag. That means stop the cleaner, lift it out, open it, empty it, clean it, reassemble the little headache... and toss it back in the pool. The first time it's a minor inconvenience. From then on it's flat out bothersome. Be careful not to leave it running in the pool believing it will automatically turn off, or automatically reverse on stairs or pool ladders, as implied. That's how it trashed itself the first time. It got stuck on a step and wore down every wearable part. It never reversed, or shut off, as promoted. So I called [...] where it was purchased. They gave me a ticket number and told me to box it up and ship it back. I sent it back thinking these guys would cover it. Not the case. Once they had it back they determined everything worked fine, and they didn't warranty 'wear and tear'. It would cost $600+ for new rubber belts, tread, paddles, power cord and seals... or they could just send it back as is. OK. Fool me once. But it's fixed. Got it back. Threw it in the pool. Worked fine. Once. A week goes by. I throw it the pool. Turn it on and go to work. Upon returning home, I find the little computerized monster has pitched a fit... and one rubber tired is running in one direction while the other is motionless. As such it twisted itself and the power cord into a knot, with the machine spinning in one spot wearing itself out... again. I'm steamed. I yank it out and set it aside somewhere out of the way. I call the local pool company and tell them to cover and close the pool down for the winter. A couple of months go by, and I decide to call back my friends at the Aquabotsuperstore. Got them on the phone. Told them the story. They gave me a ticket number and said ship it back. I went to the UPS store, packed it up, paid $75 and shipped it back. This time the warranty will surely cover the product's failure, right? There's no way they'll deny it this time. Not the case. Fooled me twice. They tell me a drive belt broke. It's completely missing and it'll cost $250. (Picture my ears steaming like a whistling teapot) After 15 minutes arguing in circles with the manager, he 'cuts me a break' and will only charge me $30 for the cost of the belt. I pay the ransom and the machine arrives back after a few days. In conclusion: I will never buy another Aquabot product, nor any product from [...]. They are masters at the art of not honoring a warranty... and once you send an item back under the impression it's warrantied... there's more than likely only one way you'll get it back: $$$$

1 Year Later... Still love it!,
By I guess the only drawback is now I have less and less exercise because of the robot taking care of the pool brushing! :)

This review is from: Aquabot Turbo T Robotic In-ground Pool Cleaner (Lawn & Patio)
I went back and forth when trying to decide on a pool cleaner. I settled on the TurboT since I wanted a cleaner that had the scrubbers, but also didn't take excessive amounts of time to clean. My experience has been (5 months in):
Handle direction Changing the direction of the handle after EVERY use is a nuisance. There are little clips that you need to push down before the handle will slide. The manual stats they will be stiff at first, but will become easier to use with time. 5 months on and they are still stiff - you really need to use a lot of force on it - it actually hurts my fingers since you are applying such pressure. Given the decision again, I would go with a different model that you didn't need to rotate the handle. Cleaning the TurboT There are flaps at the bottom of the unit which get stuck and stay open EVERY time I remove from the pool. Therefore you need to be fairly quick when pulling it out since all the junk it just sucked out will start falling straight back into the pool. The tiniest pieces of dirt/debris seem to affect their proper functioning which gets to be frustrating. Water edge cleaning Mine seems to rock back and forth off the wall when trying to clean the wall around the water line. Not really sure if this was normal - it just wasn't what I expected from the videos and reviews I had watched. Pool cleaning It really does a great job. My pool doesn't get terribly dirty, but this little bot goes about its business and has it sparkling in no time. Manuals The manuals are useless.I found better information on their website when looking in the trouble shooting section - you want to look at this guide for better operating instructions (eg. you shouldn't run your filter at the same time as your bot, always store it on its side so the rollers don't get flat spots etc). - Size: this thing is a little tank. I was actually quite amused when I pulled it out of the box. To me it is the Hummer of pool cleaners. Noise Very quiet. First time I turned it on I had my back to the pool and I keep pushing buttons waiting for it to start... it already had! You won't hear a thing until it pops out of the water. If nothing else, it will entertain your pets as it pops up to say hello. So I am conflicted. It cleans well which is the most important thing, but the points listed above also frustrate me. I would probably buy it again since I wouldn't expect the competition to be any better or worse, however I would get a better model. Hubby convinced me that it wasn't worth the additional money to get a remote, or the model where you don't have the change the handle direction after each use, but since I am the one dealing with it, I say worth the extra money. 2115|R3GY7DL3JWSKLD;2115|R1OS2QL3HU4EL;2115|R1MOT4O6XI8D3A;
