This is fabulous. It offers endless hours of entertainment for both child & caregiver. First - there is more space them on the original mat. While it only comes with one pen they do sell others seperately so more then one child/adult can use this at a time! It folds up small for easy storage. The only dilemma I've found with these mats is that they are hard to clean so if some child is visiting your house and has dirty feet and runs all over your mat...well...good luck getting it clean. That's how we ended up with a new one!

This is a great idea. The "marker" is just a tube you fill with water that has a soft tip so you can give it to your child and not worry about stains on the walls or upholstery. Our little one is still chewing on everything (she's under a year old) so we have to supervise because the tip could probably come off in her mouth if she were left to her own devices. She loves sitting on the mat and watches with enthusiasm when we show her what to do with the marker but hasn't quite gotten there herself yet. We gave this as a gift to our 2 year old nephew and he loves it too.

We really love playing with this toy. He likes to draw but he's at the age where 'mess is best.' He loves being able to draw with water, and then watch it magically disappear. The only negative is that it seems to stain pretty easily. We left it on the floor and my dog walked over it. I cleaned it right away but there is still a dog print in the middle of it. So... great toy... just keep it off the floor!
