Just fill the leak/spill-proof pen with water and watch the colors appear like magic on the fun and eye-catching coloring mat. WIth favorites like Elmo and Big Bird, this Sesame Street mat will keep your little one entertained for a while; grab one for car trips, Grandma & Grandpa's house, we even keep the mini version in tow for restaurants. The mats are durable and you'll be surprised at how crisp and bright the colors are even after repeated use and drying off for re-use. Several different themes are avialable including Winnie the Pooh and other Sesame Street/Elmo varieties. Get a few to keep the selection fresh for your kids since these are great playdate activities too! This is a value priced activity with NO MESS!

My girls, ages 4 and 2 1/2, got this toy for Christmas. They've spent a lot of time coloring the pages over and over again... it's great that it dries in about 10 minutes, and viola! they have a clean page to color all over again.

The pages are sturdy and plastic-backed so that they don't bend or crinkle easily. The surface is coated with some kind of membrane-like material that reveals a colored background underneath when it is wet. The membrane dries quickly, and can be "drawn" on with the special water-refillable pen or even a small paintbrush or wet Q-tip. (My girls were fighting over the 1 pen included, so I had to improvise with a Q-tip, which was apparently even more fun)

I would definitely buy more pages and extra pens, in case you lose them, or have 2+ kids fighting over the pen. My only complaint is that the pen doesn't come with a cap (or maybe my kids lost it 30 seconds after the package was opened?). It's not a big deal, because it's only water inside the pen.

WE HAVE FOUND THIS AQUA DOODLE MAT TO BE WONDERFUL. MY DAUGHTER IS 3 1/2 AND LOVES TO COLOR. SHE WILL SIT AND COLOR THESE MATS FOR AT LEAST A HALF HOUR AND BY THE TIME SHE IS DONE COLORING THE LAST ONE, THE FIRST ONE IS DRY. THEY ARE GREAT FOR ON THE GO OR RESTAURANTS. THE MATS ARE A BIT THIN BUT HAVE HELD UP VERY WELL. GREAT TOY.

My 19 month old loved this-she carried the magic pen around with her the WHOLE day (probably 8 hours) and must have colored the pictures a dozen times. She loved coloring each character we asked her to color ("Color Cookie"). She loved all the characters, and I loved the good clean fun it provided. This is a fantastic introduction to coloring without having any mess. As she gets older, I hope she will enjoy the seek and find activities on each page as well. A great toy, and it actually seems very durable, as it was bent a lot, and still works just fine. The only thing I wish is that there was another pen so she could play with someone else, but for what it costs, I think you get your money's worth!

my daughter got this for her birthday in january,and still loves to play with it!the pen will work on any aquadoodle in case you lost the one that came with it!

It's a great product, allowing children to paint withoout mess. They are aboe to do so over and over again. As it dries, the colors vanish, and can be 'painted' again.
