4.0 out of 5 stars Foam Party for Your Mouth
For the last few months I have been searching for a toothpaste that will leave my teeth feeling clean all day. I love the feeling of running my tongue along my teeth and feeling how slick my teeth feel.

I have tried Arm & Hammer Complete Care Fluoride Extra Whitening Toothpaste with Baking Soda & Peroxide, Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste and Colgate...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Toothpaste, Horrible Dispenser
So I bought this toothpaste a while back because I got a coupon when it was first released. I don't really have "a" toothpaste, you know, something I buy every time and that I love, so I was more than willing to try this. I like it. The taste is pretty good and it makes my teeth and my mouth feel really clean and fresh after I'm done using it so I really feel like it does...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Toothpaste, Horrible Dispenser, July 4, 2010
This review is from: Aquafresh Iso-Active Toothgel, Fluoride, Whitening Deep Impact, Foaming Gel, 4.3 oz. (Health and Beauty)
So I bought this toothpaste a while back because I got a coupon when it was first released. I don't really have "a" toothpaste, you know, something I buy every time and that I love, so I was more than willing to try this. I like it. The taste is pretty good and it makes my teeth and my mouth feel really clean and fresh after I'm done using it so I really feel like it does the job. I disagree with people who say it has a shaving cream consistency, but then, I've never eaten shaving cream. It does foam, so a little goes a long way, and if you use too much it can be overwhelming. Overall, though, I thought the toothpaste was pretty good.
The dispenser though, was really terrible. The toothpaste constantly leaked and foamed out around the top so that I feel like 1/3 of the toothpaste was lost instead of used. It makes things horribly messy if you use the lid (sometimes I'd open it and a pile of green goop would fall on the bathroom counter) and if you don't use the lid you get a thick green crust that has to be removed every few days. I liked the toothpaste, but it's a little more expensive than some of the others and it just isn't worth all that waste. I won't be buying this product again. I'd rather have a tube that I know won't leak all over the place.

4.0 out of 5 stars Foam Party for Your Mouth, December 30, 2009
This review is from: Aquafresh Iso-Active Toothgel, Fluoride, Whitening Deep Impact, Foaming Gel, 4.3 oz. (Health and Beauty)
For the last few months I have been searching for a toothpaste that will leave my teeth feeling clean all day. I love the feeling of running my tongue along my teeth and feeling how slick my teeth feel.

I have tried Arm & Hammer Complete Care Fluoride Extra Whitening Toothpaste with Baking Soda & Peroxide, Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste and Colgate MaxFresh Fluoride Toothpaste Breath Strips Whitening Clean Mint. All three toothpaste brands cleaned my teeth, but the feeling only lasted a few hours.

I purchased Aquafresh Flouride Toothgel - Deep Impact on my next trip to Target. When I used it that night I was amazed. I could not believe all the foam the pea-sized amount of gel made. When I did the tongue test, my teeth were very slick. I was happy. The next day I woke up with clean, slick feeling teeth.

Just use a pea-sized amount or your mouth will overflow with foam!

Overall, I am very pleased with Aquafresh Flouride Toothgel - Deep Impact. My main complaint is the gel seems to always stick to the lid of the can and the pump itself needs to be wiped down after every use. Minor complaints, but I will purchase Aquafresh Flouride Toothgel - Deep Impact again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Who designed the bottle? Anybody?, July 5, 2010

Similar to some other reviews, the toothpaste itself is fine. Gets the job done, no complaints here. But the dispenser it comes in is ridiculous. The toothpaste is constantly oozing out the end. So that means you have the following options:

1. Clean off the nozzle after every use. Oh wait, actually you'd have to clean it *before* every use, because it seems to ooze out continuously. Even if you clean it after you're done, it will still ooze out by the next time you reach for it.

2. Try to ignore the nastiness and dispense the toothpaste around it. This is a little tricky, and with a bit of luck, maybe the caked-on goo will fall off itself. Most of the time though you just get a hunk of old nasty toothpaste in your toothbrush and subsequently your mouth, which is gross.

Basically, the dispenser is a deal-breaker. Apparently the Aquafresh people didn't actually try their product at all before releasing it, because it's just ridiculous how gross this works out to be.

3.0 out of 5 stars The toothpaste is fine, it's the dispenser that sucks., July 3, 2010
This review is from: Aquafresh Iso-Active Toothgel, Fluoride, Whitening Deep Impact, Foaming Gel, 4.3 oz. (Health and Beauty)
I quite enjoy the toothpaste itself, it does the job it's supposed to and my mouth feels much fresher afterwards. The problem is with the dispenser. The top of the pump constantly seems to leak out, so I'm positive that it's causing a bit of a waste with the actual product. Why it does this I can't tell you, but I can imagine it has a lot to do with a poor design. This product would be far better in a traditional toothpaste container or a better-designed dispenser.

1.0 out of 5 stars The worst toothpaste I've ever tried, April 27, 2010
By
This review is from: Aquafresh Iso-Active Toothgel, Fluoride, Whitening Deep Impact, Foaming Gel, 4.3 oz. (Health and Beauty)
It's basically shaving cream. You put it on your toothbrush and it's a gel, then you start brushing and it turns into a thick foam and TASTES and FEELS exactly like shaving cream. I almost threw up while brushing my teeth with it, it felt wrong, it IS wrong. I checked the ingredients.......it contains soap. No wonder it foams. I cannot believe they put this toothpaste on the market. My mouth does not feel clean, it feels violated.

1.0 out of 5 stars must be bad if I'm going online to review a toothpaste, January 7, 2012

This review is from: Aquafresh Iso-Active Toothgel, Fluoride, Whitening Deep Impact, Foaming Gel, 4.3 oz. (Health and Beauty)
How gross is this stuff? Bad enough I'm taking time out of my day to write a review of it. It dispenses a HUGE, uncontrollable blob with one tiny push of the release nozzle. Other similar looking toothpaste dispensers don't do this. I'd compare it to the way hair mousse comes out. Or maybe shaving cream. I'm guessing there was dried toothpaste around the dispensing tip; even the directions on the bottle say to wipe the nozzle before AND after every use. Who does this?

Once in the mouth, this product foams up. A LOT. If you've ever used a gel-type shaving cream that turns to foam you get the picture. I had scads and scads of "toothpaste foam" in my mouth. I remember foaming toilet bowl cleanser from 30 years ago that foamed up when it hit water. This was like that. Perhaps this was partly due to the huge glob I started out with (seriously like 5x what I was aiming for). Taste...well, it's unique. Odd. Not the worst I've ever had, but not my favorite. My mouth felt nice and clean afterwards but this just wasn't worth it.

1.0 out of 5 stars YUCK!, December 29, 2011

I agree with other reviewers that the dispenser is an epic fail. It was a nice idea, but it dispenses a huge glop with one little push. The worst part of it though is the taste. I'll try to describe it as best I can. It tastes medicinal, sort of like Vicks Vabo-rub smells. I guess that would be menthol I taste. It is not at all refreshing, it is disgusting.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love!, August 17, 2011
This review is from: Aquafresh Iso-Active Toothgel, Fluoride, Whitening Deep Impact, Foaming Gel, 4.3 oz. (Health and Beauty)
I have been using Aquafresh toothpaste for most of my life, and I've never had a cavity. I like that the flavor isn't super in-your-face. I was psyched to try this because toothpaste in a can seems so much easier than the tube. I hate having to get every last little drop out of the tube.

I love how little of this product I have to use. The first time I used this, I used way too much and spit out about 5 mouthfuls of foam. Since it foams up, all I need is 1/2 a pea sized amount. That little! I'm sure that this can will last me beyond a full year.

The flavor of this isn't as good as the regular Aquafresh flavor, but it's still pleasant. A bit mintier.

A lot of other reviewers are complaining about the cap leaking. Well, the cap isn't actually leaking. When you squirt the product out, some gets stuck in the cap and then expands over time (foaming, remember?) causing toothpaste to come out of the applicator. I remedy this problem by using a plastic toothpick to clean out the place the product gets trapped. Takes less than a second to do, and I do it while I'm swishing around my mouthwash. It's really a miniscule amount of product that looks more than it is because it expands over time, so you are barely losing any product to begin with. Even if I were to let the product "leak" out, the overflow would not be significant enough to bother me. It doesn't get in the way of dispensing the product or anything. My hands don't even touch the part of the cap where it leaks out, so no worries about getting it on my fingers. The only problem seems to be that it doesn't look nice.

Edit (1/27/12): Switched back to the original Aquafresh toothpaste and find myself strangely relieved. I think I prefer it to this. Changing the rating to 4 stars.

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolute Failed Product!, August 8, 2011
This review is from: Aquafresh Iso-Active Toothgel, Fluoride, Whitening Deep Impact, Foaming Gel, 4.3 oz. (Health and Beauty)
Glaxo Smith Klein WHAT were you thinking??? This is the worst toothpaste container I have ever seen! Half of this product leaked out. The tooth paste was constantly seeping out of the can! I purchased one can for myself and my husband. My husband threw his new container away cause it leaked all over his travel kit! The toothpaste did not leave a "foam party" in my mouth and it did not leave my teeth squeaky clean all day! Probably someone from Glaxo wrote that review. It cleaned and whitened just as well as Arm and Hammer's Advance White Brilliant Sparkle toothpaste which I was using before Aquafresh. I love the Aquafresh teeth whitening trays and I thought that this Deep Impact line of Aquafresh was going to be my new toothpaste. But I promptly went back to Arm and Hammer. DO NOT waste your money or time on this product!

2.0 out of 5 stars Toothpaste is fine, can is terrible!, October 26, 2010
This review is from: Aquafresh Iso-Active Toothgel, Fluoride, Whitening Deep Impact, Foaming Gel, 4.3 oz. (Health and Beauty)
Like others here, I had problems with the dispenser/can when using this toothpaste. It was a pain to have to clean it off all the time and after a couple weeks, the toothpaste would not stop coming out for me! I tried everything to get it to stop and it was just wasted. It filled up the cap and got everywhere. I had to throw a pretty full can out because of the flaw which was annoying because this costs so much more then the usual toothpaste. If the dispenser design was changed I'd give it another try, but right now I'll avoid it.
