It means that if you really want to you can hold it 15ft/5m underwater for half an hour safe in the knowledge that the stuff inside will stay completely safe and dry.

My husband and I purchased this case before our trip to Florida and it was well worth it!!! The camera was well protected from the sand and water! The pictures taken on our snorkle trip in the key were amazing. I would recommend this case to anyone going to the beach, pool or who have children. I am very excited about summer with my waterproof case!

I used this to take pictures underwater and NO water leaked in whatsoever. However, I did not stay underwater for long. Very pleased with this product that I'm buying another!
