Product Description

Cute and portable – these floating three-dimensional figures are cherished by girls ages 6 and up. Each thumb-sized character has its own look, sounds and songs and lives inside a raindrop-shaped case. The creatures come alive when kids, or other Aquapets, interact with them. A microchip, microphone and speaker housed in the toy’s base enable Aquapets to register and respond to sound. Each character replies with movement and melody. The more you play with your Aquapets, the more songs they will perform and the livelier they’ll become.

From the Manufacturer

The black battery unit (the “try me” battery) that is inside your Aquapet when you receive it is designed to provide a quick example of the noises and movements the Aquapet makes. Please remove this partial-powered battery and install 2 fresh AAA batteries so you can play the interactive games and unlock new songs. Detailed instructions on how to play the games can be accessed by cutting and pasting the following address into your web browser. I purchased my first aqua pet at a Target. My daughter loved it. When I went back to get another one, they apparently interact with each other, Target no longer carried them. So I jumped on here and Amazon has all of them. My daughter likes them, she has fun with them. They're tuff little things, my daughter dropped it and it still works.

Bought these for my 4 year old. She caught on to the concept pretty quickly. Played with them for 5 minutes, they don't do much, so she hasn't touched them since. Pass on these.

My older sister has a desk in her room and a laptop so we thought this would be a cool desk toy. We tried it out at the store and it didn't follow the commands because it had the "special battery" in it. So when she got it on Christmas day we took out the special battery, put in two AAA batteries, and it followed the commands perfectly! She dosen't play with it a lot so I play with it every once in a while, I can't figure out how to work the games though XD. But it still works! Puku is a very neat Aquapet!

These Aquapets aren't everything they are made out to be. I don't quite understand the concept of them. They are kind of boring really. I changed the batteries in them like the instructions told me to do in order to make them do more. I'm not sure what more they do. I don't recommend them to anyone.

This little toy is really cute. Honestly, it doesn't do anything crazy but it entertains my daughter and it's size is prefect for the type of toy it is. Jumps around in the water 'appearing' to dance, which she likes. Cannto complain at all for the price and the quality is just fine!

This product is cute. It plays music and sounds as well as moves up and down, but it does not respond to a person very well.

I don't like how the figure does not look like it's totally submerged in the water. It looks like it's about to come out of the water ...That makes it more like a swampmonster than an acquapet..(thanks to optical distortion and all that). You will know what I'm talking about if your Puku are not filled with enough water as mine is.

The water level is about where it is in the first of the three picture for this item. But in other pictures and a few youtube reviews that I watched, they come with more water and are thus more submerged. It seems that the amount of the water they put in the thing is totally random. And I'm just one of the unlucky buyers..

But I didn't give it a two-star because of that. The bigger problem, and a problem wasn't foretold in the picture, is that the water tank is filled with tiny water bubbles clustered together here and there(probably resulted from all the tumbling during shipping); which makes it pretty bad for display. Some shaking procedure properly applied to the item perhaps can get rid of the bubbles. But I'm not taking the risk of breaking the two delicate strings attached to Puku that are responsible for all the dancing.

My conclusion is that this toy would be more popular on the shelves of your local supermarkets, where you can see the water level, check for any scratches on the clear plastic, and avoid the unwelcome water-bubbling.
