It helps the burns heal quickly and without scarring, and now I use it too, for burns, dry skin,, dry lips, and general skin care.

Nice and thick, like vaseline, but smells a bit less like pavement.

For as long as I can remember I've had very dry cracked lips. Sometimes it would be so bad that I would have pieces of dried skin hanging loose on my lip. I tried almost every product ever recommend to me including expensive Skinceuticals Anti-Oxidant lip repair and Khiel's Lip Balm to no avail. While some of these products seemed to help a bit, in the end nothing really came close to Aquaphor.

Aquaphor stays on the lips longer and seems to actually work to make my lips not as dry and definitely more smooth and soft. I only have to apply it a few times a day and my lips are fine. It has been a godsend for me. I don't consider it expensive because a little goes a long way and compared to the other products I tried, it's cheap.

I wish they made Aquaphor in a lip balm applicator size and with sunscreen. When I go outside, I have to use a separate sunscreen product on my lips (sometimes over the Aquaphor) in order to protect agains sun damage.

I'm glad I found this product and will certainly continue to use it and drink plenty of water as well.

Ever since our little Santiago was born, we've been using this ointment on him when he has a rash, and it works wonders. It is healing beyind belief. Granted that the price is not the best (you could argue that Vaseline costs less, which is true), the results you see on your baby's skin with Aquaphor make it worth the extra couple of bucks.
We've also used it on our skin, on burns or irritated skin and it does the same wonders. We're happy to have received a sample of it while we were at the hospital!

My daughter owns a restaurant and frequently suffers burns. Her dermatologist recommended Aquaphor. It helps the burns heal quickly and without scarring, and now I use it too, for burns, dry skin,, dry lips, and general skin care. This product fulfills its promises.

I have been using and carrying around this product with me for years. It's safe, gentle, and dermatologist recommended. I've used it on my infant daughter's diaper rash when anything containing Zinc Oxide made her bottom bleed (she's allergic to that), and it cleared up overnight. She's 2 now, and we both still use it. I apply a small amount to my dry, bleeding and cracked cuticles at night, and they're smooth in the morning. It's also a great remedy for dry, cracked lips. I always keep a tube on me. It's expensive, but the 1.75 ounce tube lasts a very long time, and goes a really long way. I stick to what I like, and this product absolutely never disappoints!

There is one mistake I made recently I thought I'd share. I was at a Walgreens looking to purchase more, and chose the store brand over the Eucerin Brand. Big mistake!!

The store brand product immediately liquefied in a sort of filmy, slimy liquified version of something that's meant to soothe and coat your lips with moisture. Upon further research I found a few interesting facts...

First, both products do contain the key ingredient of Petroleum (41%). However, the Aquaphor brand contains other Inactive Ingredients listed as: Mineral Oil, Ceresin, Lanolin Alcohol, Panthenol, Glycerin and Bisabolol. The "Store Brand" lacks the last three I've listed in the Aquaphor Brand. The difference is quite shocking. Could this be why the store brand is such poor quality as compared to the Eucerin brand? I don't know, but I'll never buy store brand for this product again.

Be sure to check labels before you buy store brand to make sure it really is similar to the name brand, otherwise you might find that you've saved a $1 on something that turns out to be a waste of money.

My 2-month old baby had cradle cap around her ears, nose, eyebrows, forehead, and eyelids for days. Or at least it looked like cradle cap. It looked like very thick, flaky dry skin. It first appeared on her scalp. A day later, it was all around her ears, sides of her nose, eyebrows, forehead, and eyelids.

After some research on remedies, one mom on a message board recommended Aquaphor. We remembered getting a tiny little sample tube of Aquaphor from the hospital when our baby was born. So we tried it. The result is beyond amazing! The thick flaky dry skin around her ears, forehead, & nose, where we applied Aquaphor has cleared in just one day. We applied it once in the morning, then reapplied around noon, and reapplied it again at night after her bath and before putting her to bed. We will try to put a thin layer on her eyebrows & lids now that we know it works great! As for the scalp, we are trying a special shampoo for it.

Needless to say, we bought a larger tube of Aquaphor!

I've gone through a few tubes of Aquaphor already during my accutane course. Aquaphor is pretty awesome has been a godsend for my accutane-induced severely dried lips. When I ordered the 1.75 oz tube from this specific seller, I received it and noticed that the expiration date on the tube was stamped "EXP 08/2012". It expired a year and a half ago, not cool! I can tell the product is super old because the ingredients have separated. When I squeeze some out, sometimes it'll be a gel-like substance that comes out, other times I'll get a thin and oily substance that comes out. Beware of the products you purchase from this seller.
