Such potential squandered.,

I picked up the first volume of this in an actual bookstore before ordering the rest of the five volume series here. I liked it a lot... BUT:
1) Five volumes should say it all. How many 5 volume manga series do you know of? 2) It is apparently based on some Pokemon/Magic-esque type cardgames, so generally speaking, a third of the book is dedicated to the intricities of the game. 3) Despite the 'Aquarian Age' packaging that would lead one to believe there might be other 'Aquarian Age' related manga that told different stories besides that of Juvenile Orion, I've yet to find them. 4) Sadly, it appears that there won't even be an Anime to hopefully expand upon these interesting characters and somewhat, "Oh, is it over now?" ending. |
