After trying a number of differnt drum heads on my dw collector's seires, I decided to try single ply heads noticing that this is what comes with dw, Remo single ply. The stock heads sounded Ok, but the Studio X's turned a set of drums into a melodic instrument. I have an instrument here that sounds incredible. Other musicians and people in clubs co
mment constantly on the sound of my dw's. I have tried Evans G2, Remo Ambassoador coated, pinstripes were not too bad but the X's blew them away. I was worried about durabilty but they are very durable for one ply heads. Try them, you will notice right away the difference. Save yourself some money and get these heads.
