Art Deco Style Facilitates Intuitive Understanding of Cards,
By nsf@cybergal.com (Bow, WA, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Aquarian Tarot Deck [With Book] (Paperback)
This was the first of my 7 (so far) decks. The deck is illustrated in the art deco style, informed by a medieval sensibility. The colors are in rich, muted tones which draw the viewer into the potential narrative surrounding the illustration. The book Psychic Tarot by Craig Junjulas is illustrated with, and explains the cards of this deck. The cards are done with crisp, clear illustrations, with specific stylistic themes and elements repeated throughout the deck. This deck has a deeply positive, spiritual feeling. It encourages meditation and reflection through its multiple layers of images and meanings. The companion book provides traditional meanings for each card and points out elements of the illustrations that might not usually be incorporated in interpreting a deck. The book provides information on several spreads, emphasizing the Celtic Cross. Individual intuition is encouraged in developing deeper, personal interpretations of the cards. Several sample 'intuitions' are given. The book and the deck definitely enhance each other. This was my first deck and has remained my favorite for over ten years. I feel a deep intellectual, metaphysical, and esthetic rapport with this deck. Because of this, I find it difficult to be objective in critiquing it. I'm sure there must be some negative things about it, but I can't say what they might be. I would recommend this deck to anyone looking for a beautiful, artistic deck, or a practical, utilitarian working deck. This is my favorite deck.

beautiful,

I've had three other decks before this one, but this one is by far the most comfortable deck I've worked with. Some tarot seem to have "personalities" that interfere with the readings, but this deck has a "personality" that is entirely helpful, relaxed, and comfortable. It's also very reliable.I very much enjoy the art...each card inspires, and tells its own tale.

review of the deck and book,

I have been reading tarot for more than 20 years and have various decks. This is one of my favorites. The symbols are clear and traditional, but much more beautiful. The deck is able to be easily ready by anyone knowing the Waite deck. The images were designed to stimulate intuitive psychic ability to read the tarot, as the author is known as a great intuitive and teacher. I recommend this deck, as a nice change from traditional decks, but without the rigors of reading new material that often comes with many of the new decks that don't use traditional imagery. I also recommend the book, for use even with other decks, as the explanations are insightful.

Rave of Aquarius!,
By International Acclaim "Reviews" (New York City) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Aquarian Tarot Deck [With Book] (Paperback)
Finally, a sensible and thought-provoking guide to using David Palladini's still-sensational Aquarian Tarot Deck originally released in 1970. This was the first Tarot I encountered and the one that sparks my intuitive side most dynamically. Until this time, the only book to devote itself completely to this particular deck was "The Windows of Tarot" (1973) by F.D. Graves. While colorfully written, that work simply did not journey deep enough into Palladini's amazing imagery. But author Craig Junjulas, a noted psychic consultant and spiritual educator, has changed all of that with this fine work. His "Psychic Tarot" not only provides eloquent, depth interpretations for each card, but prepares the reader by offering excellent techniques to boost intuition. There is also the addition of an extremely helpful Appendix that includes a wealth of information to expand the cards' meanings even further. Highly recommended! -Michael Orlando Yaccarino, Certified Professional Tarot Reader
