The little red connector to the hose breaks as soon as you try to unplug the hose. For others, cut the hose as the bas along the red connector with a cutter and then remove the hose, doing that you won't apply force on those red connections and won't break them. i went through one pump before I figured that out :((

Great Top Off Pump. With a float switch one can use this pump to auto top-off a tank. This has many uses!

Since I started using this to pull the air out of my overflow, I haven't had a single loss-of-siphon-flood-incident. Excellent product and I highly recommend this for your overflow boxes!

I use this to add about 2 gallons of water from my top off tank which is located in a room behind my 125 gallon main display. I went this route because I dont want the worry about a float valve going bad and flooding my house.

I figured out that i need to run the pump about 38 minutes a day to equal the amount of evaporation im getting. I have this unit plugged into a digital outlet timer and it works flawlessly.

This unit saves me a ton of work. Can also be used to dose your tank too

If i had 3 thumbs, it would get them all

I bought this pump to use with a siphon powered overflow on a 55 gallon aquarium. This pump works perfectly for keeping the air bubbles from building up inside the overflow. I would suggest this pump for anyone needing it for a overflow.

This pump is great for my purpose, which is to top off an aquarium as water evaporates. Very quiet. My only problem with it is that the tubing was so tight on the first one I bought that when I tried pulling it off the intake and output ports the red plastic broke off with it. I replaced it with an identical one since I figured it was probably more my fault than the unit's.

When I received the "aqualifter" I was hoping to use it as a low volume of water movement setup for a shrimp tank. I simply needed to move water around in my very small (2.5 gallon) aquarium.

I found that using the "aqualifter" by itself (without the preflter) lead to diminished water circulation. At the end of a 24 hour period the water circulation was only a drip. The pump seemed strained (like it was working hard).

I still use the "aqualifter" to transfer clean (and only clean) water to the tanks I have. I simply don't use the prefilter.

In all honesty, What I was looking for was a filter that would circulate a small volume of water for a small (2.5 gallon) tank. I did not want the noise of an air pump with an air stone. In the end I settled for the "Azoo palm filter" which has a regulator that can redue the flow to much less than any other pump I found (and it's cheap). The specs say something like 17 gal per hour. (your milage may vary). I should mention that I am quite happy, the tank I have is at the moment at the foot of my bed, has a palm filter on it and does not keep me awake while I try to sleep.

So, if you just need to move clean water from here to there the "aqualifter" does this job wonderfully. If you need a small amount of water movement in a small (e.g. 2.5 gallon) tank, I would recommend the "Azoo palm filter" (side note I don't think there is any difference between the palm and the mignon 60 ( they are the same as far as I can tell).

Bought this pump after reading all the good reviews online and I am very happy with it. It's very silent and reliable. You can use it to pump air or water.
