Aquatic Therapy,
By
This review is from: Aquatic Exercise Therapy, 1e (Paperback)
This book was amazing for the physical therapy setting. It had explanations on exercises, muscle groups used, and innervation levels. The book also had specific sections on diagnosis-specific exercises. Easy to use and patients loved the out-of-the-ordinary exercises!

My bible,
By
This review is from: Aquatic Exercise Therapy, 1e (Paperback)
This book as become my bible. It is the most comprehensive book I and my therapist have come across. I am unable to do land-based exercises and my therapist has been able to put together a thorough workout plan for me to use as a result of this book. I love the fact that it shows what muscle groups are being worked. Since I have multiple issues, I can work on my knees and hips one day, upper and lower back another day, neck and shoulder the others. Each body part comes with it's own workout from beginner on up. Workouts include warm-ups, stretching, and strengthing exercises. My only wish is that it came with water-proof cards -- I finally got smart and copied the pages and put them into plastic -- prior to that the book ended up soaked at the side of the pool. This is for serious aquatic therapy patients and therapists.

This is the best of the hydrotherapy books that I was able to find at the National Institute of Health Library in Washington, DC.
