For those of you who might be interested in turtles/terrapins, get a copy of this little book ! Years ago I used to raise painted turtles and I so much enjoyed them, learned a lot about them. Since then I have spent many times rescuing turtles from the road that people would carelessly run over & kill with not a thought about them at all. Unun, I rescue them, as they are on the downswing and could become extinct if people don't care to watch out not to kill them. This book is an educational foray into the world of turtles and terrapins worldwide, but mostly in No America. I think the book is an excellent addition to any child's or adult's library. The information contained in this book is outstanding in it's accuracy, and the photos are sensational. You will see photos of turtles you probably have never even heard of from various parts of the world. As well as photos of those turtles we are familiar with here in the USA. Parents, educate your children about turtles and how valuable they are too our environment, how they have been around for millions of years, and that we MUST, as a society, protect our wildlife, and not just the warm/fuzzy ones, but the turtles and their relatives as well. Book was in great condition for a used book, and packed nicely, arrived very quickly, and a great bargain price too ! I gave this book to a friend's children who love turtles. Thank you !!

I love amazon and I order from it all the time. I really like turtles. So I wanted to buy this product. I was searching for the lowest price for a new book. When I got the book in the mail, it was torn and you could obviously tell it was not new. I still love the book and read it but I will not be ordering from the company again.
