5.0 out of 5 stars durable sandals
I bought these sandals for my teenage son who happens to be extremely tough on shoes. I've had them for a couple months now and they seem to be holding up very well under their daily "beating". He tells me they're very comfortable and for the price, I'm quite satisfied with this purchase.

I purchased two pair of sandals from AQUAZ not two months ago: one for myself and one for my wife. The first time either of us wore them out for an extended time (several hours one afternoon), we had two utterly poor results. The rubber/plastic piece that arches over the top of the foot tended to continually rub on my big toe, resulting in a blister, which ultimately tore open and resulted in an open sore. My wife's sandals simply started falling apart after a few hours of walking. The sole seems to be two separate pieces bonded by some epoxy, which didn't respond well to much use. Ultimately, if you want sandals you can actually use for walking, the products from this company aren't going to be much use to you. Maybe they would be okay for shower shoes or around the pool, but I wouldn't recommend them for walking longer than fifty yards at a time!

Further, I contacted the company to inform them of their footwear's performance. Here's what I got:

"Regarding your sandals that you found to be uncomfortable, if the sandals had not been worn and were in their original packaging, we would have allowed you to return them for a refund within 30 days. However since you wore the sandals we are unable to resell them, and unable to offer a refund as the 30 days have expired, we cannot take them back."

In other words, once you try them on, whether they are comfortable or not, they are yours. The idea you just have to know how they will fit and feel by looking at them IN THEIR PACKAGING (apparently), is asinine. I honestly didn't expect them to offer to accept mine due to it being simply a comfort issue, but I didn't expect that. More objectionable was their suggestion regarding my wife's sandals.

"If your wife's sandals are not able to be worn due to the sole separating you can return them to use with a check written out to Aquaz Inc., in the amount of $8.95 to cover shipping a new pair back to you."

At this point, including shipping, we had already shelled out $40 for two pairs of sub-par, rubber/plastic flip-flops. The idea of paying to pack and ship my wife's back and then another $9 on top of that, when more-comfortable and durable options are available for well under $15 at any store locally is just too much to bear. The company takes zero responsibility for a defective product. Their sole concern is the profit. You are only valued as a customer as far as you are willing to enter into a co-operative agreement that you somehow are responsible for helping them to maintain their profit margin, even should your product be defective. It's nonsense.

Avoid purchasing anything from this company unless you have low expectations and/or money to burn.

I bought these sandals to wear in the shower with the idea that the drainage would prevent me from tracking water everywhere afterwards. However, the "drainage" system built into these sandals actually makes them WORSE, for the following reasons:

(1) The drainage system does not effectively drain all of the water; instead, the water pools in the channels built into the shoe. This means that the sandal drips water everywhere, long after a normal sandal would have been dry.
(2) Because water collects inside the sandal and does not drain, mold (yuck) is now growing through the internal drainage ports.
(3) The contour on the footbed doesn't allow all the water to flow into the drainage port, so you end up with "standing water" anyway.

The shoes are very heavy, bulky, and clunky for a sandal. Not recommended.

I bought these for my husband to use in the pool area. It would have been perfect for the purpose but they run too small for the size quoted. I had to return them and pay return shipping.
