This is a fantastic sprinkler. Despite an installed system, I always have areas of lawn that need additional water to keep a uniform appearance to the turf quality. I bought a Gardena almost 8 yrs ago from Costco and that one is still working great. I've looked everywhere for this brand and have not been able to find it until a couple of wks ago when I ordered one frm Amazon. Thank God Amazon carries this line! I've purchased 8 other big brand oscillators from the "big box" stores and they routinely stop oscillating after a few months. They just freeze in one position. This may be due to the hard water in my area. These Gardena brand oscillators just keeping going and going. They are one of the best gardening items I have ever found and apparently the Rolls Royce of lawn sprinklers. Thank you for carrying this line. I will recommend to all my friends and neighbors. Go Gardena!

I've been a fan of Gardena for years. I'm picky about my sprinklers since I use them only for my flower beds and want to be able to only water the bed and not the sidewalk, grass, driveway, etc. Since I have a lot of flower beds I don't like to waste water! The Gardena sprinkeler allows me great control depending on the depth of my flower bed. It also is the only sprinkler that I've tried (and I've gone thru a lot of them) that lets me use a low flow of water and it will still oscillate. So I can do a very narrow bed with only a 24" high "stream" of water and this sprinkler will still oscillate. Great product.

Amazon Verified Purchase
Both Amazon and Gardena website discuss adjustable width, in addition to length range, for this product. Not true! There are no controls on this unit for blocking any of the holes or for changing their spray direction. There is only the control for changing the degrees of rotation/oscillation. I called Gardena, and the rep says you have to get model 1973 if you want a modifiable width. Maybe the product is great otherwise, but if you are looking for a modifiable width, you will be as disappointed as I was when I opened the box. Misleading procuct title...
