Product Description

Color: Aqua

As essential as soap, the ingenious Aqueduck makes cleanup with little ones easy by extending the spigot's stream. No more lifting fast-growing tots to reach the flowing faucet—the Aqueduck easily attaches to nearly any standard tap, making cleanliness a cinch at home or on the go. Simply squeeze both sides while pushing the lower flap inward, attach to the faucet and scrub those germs away. BPA, PVC and phthalate-free. Dishwasher safe.

This product is so handy and so cheap, anyone with a toddler and a sink should try it. Now that I have an Aquaduck, I really see the safety advantage in not having my little guy risk kicking his stepstool out from under himself while leaning and stretching forward to reach the water. Because I can stand back, he is taking charge of washing up and brushing teeth. Safety, competence, confidence, responsibility, and reward in his bathroom routine because I risked a couple of bucks on some weird little gizmo. Maybe it won't work for everyone, but it's worth a try.

This little device has made it easier for my one-and-a-half year old to wash her own hands, with the additional assistance of a step-stool. We've been using it for a few months and the neck is starting to stretch out and the aquaduck is starting to droop, so the water doesn't go as far out as it used to. Pretty soon it won't be any help at all.

UPDATE: It's 4 months later and we're still using the Aquaduck. I discovered that the problem is that my daughter yanks on the yellow part of the Aquaduck pretty hard, and over time she manages to get it partially, if not totally free, from the blue part. When it starts to sag, I now push the hard yellow part back into the blue part, wiggling it around until it's jutting out like I like. Then the Aquaduck works like new. In the end I'm just grateful it holds up to my often rambunctious, non-desirous of hand washing, toddler, even if it does need the occasional half-second adjustment.

I actually bought this for our bathtub. We have a large corner bathtub that we use for bathing our son. I have the baby bathtub in it and it was just an awkward set up. I couldn't get the baby bathtub close enough to the faucet and the water ended up everywhere. Anyway, I used the extender and it's perfect now. It allows the water to spray out just a little further and now it reaches the baby bathtub with no problems. Now I won't dread bathtime because of the awkward set up!

I love this faucet extender! It is very easy to install, and has made my daughter love washing her hands! It is sturdy, portable, and works very well! It takes the water from flowing at the back of the sink, and forces it to flow forward to where my 2 year old daughter can reach the water! She can now reach the water on her own just by standing on a standard foot stool we keep in the bathroom. It's a little higher priced than I normally would be willing to spend, but I can't deny how much it has saved our struggle with hand washing! So I may not have been willing to spend that much before I tried one out, but after using one, I'd definitely shell out $12.99 to get one! I no longer have to prop my daughter up on my knee, and have awkward hand washing experiences while balancing her on my knee, holding her with one hand and trying to teach her to wash her hands with the other hand. Now I can have her stable on her feet, and I can use both hands to help her learn to wash her hands thoroughly. It also doesn't get in the way for others when they go to use the faucet, it doesn't make it awkward for adults to use the same sink, and I don't have to take it off after each use.

I have a faucet that is like a swan neck, curving up and then completely downward, in an upside down "U" shape. I don't know why I didn't think of that when I bought the product. So, it doesn't stay put and it doesn't really put the water at the correct angle. However, I tied a rubber band around my faucet neck to keep the Aqueduck from slipping and it fixed it to where it hit the water at the right angle. So it moved the water spray about two inches forward... better than nothing. I won't send it back because it was my own stupidity and not really the fault of the product, it has at least helped move it forward some. I still think I'm going to buy a special safety stool because my son is still leaning forward on the sink and the stool creeps forward.

Works well for it's intended purpose. The reason I gave it only 3 stars is because it seems a little pricey for what it is... I mean it's a cheap piece of plastic for $10? But, it is the only one I could find when I was looking, so it's what I ended up buying. The other downfall is that it lets water pool in the yellow piece after you are finished using the faucet. My 17 month old son thinks it is hilarious to pull the yellow piece down so that the leftover water splashes up. :)

We had a high stool in the bathroom for our two year-old, but it was not stable so we switched to a shorter, standard stool. Unfortunately, our daughter could no longer reach far enough to get her hands under the water. While it's kind of pricey for what it is, the Aqueduck has soved our problem perfectly. Plus, its novelty makes hand washing far more desirable for our toddler, which is an added bonus.
