The suction cup works nicely & the joint allows it to pivot nicely.

My fish absolutely love the water flow and movement it creates, they are far more active in the tanks.

Great little pump. It provides a wide, thorough flow throughout the tank and consumes an unbelievably low amount of power. It's also dead silent. The mount keeps it well in place. I suppose the only criticism I may offer is that the mounting system is not magnetic like a Koralia and therefore the pump takes up a bit more space as a result. No biggie, this is a really nice pump.

I bought this to blow the debris that started accumulating on the fine sand substrate in our 30 gallon tank. I run it on a cheap Harbor Freight mechanical timer so it will go on occasionally for a little bit as running all the time it was waaaay too powerful for the tank, creating dunes in the sand and overpowering the fish. But as an occasional "stir up" to keep the tank crystal clear, this pump works great. Now instead of fish poop, uneaten food, and other little bits littering the bottom of the tank and needing vacuuming - the tank stays looking pristine with no action.

I purchased two of these for my 180 gallon salt water tank. The flow is very good and with two pumps, it produced a lot of flow in my 180 gallon. I am giving it 3 stars because after 3 months, one of the pump has a broken swivel neck. The part that the pump connects to the suction cup and pivots broke and the pump just hangs limp now.

I got this pump for my 55 gallon African Cichlid setup and it has worked well. It moves just enough water to keep O2 levels up without blowing smaller fish into the glass. I mounted the pump so that the top sits about 2" below the water line and aim it towards the surface. Since adding this, I've noticed that my fish are more active and sometimes appear to be enjoying the current. I turn it off a couple hours a day to give them some down time and haven't had any problems with it starting up or overheating my tank, which stays around 80 degrees. My decision was between this pump or the Koralia model. I'm happy with my decision and hope it holds up well for the long run. This company includes a warranty card that boasts a lifetime warranty but I haven't had any contact with them yet.

WARNING: As I mentioned before, sometimes I turn the pump off, especially at night. Well, I left it off for an extended period and one of my catfish got into the pump from the front. Well, he didn't make it. So if you turn it off, make sure it's clear before you plug it back up.

Sorry lil buddy. :(

This pump circulates my tank great once I found a good spot for it. At first, I had it aimed slightly down and it moved my sand substrate leaving the glass bottom exposed. Other times, some plants would get caught on the pump. I moved it around for a bit trying to find a good spot for it. Once I found a good spot, it works great. My fish seem happier and are more active and if that wasn't enough this pump also helps the filter grab loose plant matter. My tank is looking really beautiful and healthy. I especially love this pump gives my plants movement. I'm very happy with this purchase.

The pump tends to rattle during feeding as food particles unbalance the impeller. Otherwise good service for a lower priced pump.

not sure why but the ball joint broke and the pump separated from the suction cup, this attachment with the ball joint is only on the 500 though-the construction on the 700+ is designed better

Arrived quickly, is very quiet, and stays securely. The only downside is that it just is a bit too much flow for my planted 75 gallon so I may have to order the next size down. One thing that would be nicer is if the head could angle more relative to the base.
