Lightweight and super absorbent, March 20, 2009
I have several in my car, sports, beach and gym bags.
The Fabric:
* Lisse Crepe -- their original towel. Also the most substantial (heaviest and thickest) of the three versions Aquis offers (Lisse Crepe, Waffle, and "Terry")
* Texture: very short pile, no visible loops. Not a fluffy towel.
* Slightly clingy, when drying yourself.
* A little static in the dryer (but not as much as their microfibre "terry" version)
* Very absorbent and lightweight.
* Comes in many colours and sizes.
Unlike other membrane/spongy camping/outdoor towels:
* You CAN throw this is in the dryer.
* Feels closest to a real towel.
Sizes and uses:
*Size XL is best as a bath towel, b/c you can coverup. and is the size of a standard bath towel (not Bath/Beach sheet).
*Size L was the original hair/gym towel size -- longer and narrower. Good for a small child.
*Size M is good as a Hand Towel for when you have people over. It gets damp but not soggy and will still do its job of drying hands.
I have a stack of these (look out for them when Amazon/Aquis has promotions & in Friday sales) for when friends, family, their children & pets visit. They are lightweight and are perfect for travel, as a hair towel, and for small capacity washers.
Some of the darker colors bleed a little during the first few washes. They are completely colorfast after that.

Compact, absorbant, dries fast!, May 22, 2007
I took this towel on a sailing trip and it was great--much better than a large cotton terrycloth towel.
Despite it's smallish size, it absorbs effectively (more than enough to dry you completely), then dries itself quickly so you can use it again.
The built in loop with a strong snap are a great bonus that let you attach it to rigging to dry without fear that the wind would blow it away (as it did with other people's towels).
It's small size made it fit effortlessly even in a small carry on bag.
I brought two towels, this one for drying off after ocean swimming, and an even smaller Aquis one for drying off after fresh water showers. Even the smaller one is enough to dry you thoroughly (and then dry itself quickly).
These are GREAT TOWELS FOR TRAVEL and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

Aquis Towel, July 3, 2007
I LOVE THIS TOWEL! I got the large (19x39) because I am a large girl. I swim 4 1/2 hours a day in a pool where the chlorine is never stable. It's a no-brainer that I have to shower after getting out of that pool. I had my doubts that a microfiber towel could/would absorb much, but it was guaranteed, so I bought one. It is wonderful. It absorbs almost all the water in my hair, dries my body totally and still has room to wrap around my neck an soak up the sweat while I'm doing other things. It is washable. I haven't put it in the dryer because it dries very fast anyway. If they weren't so much money I would replace all of my household towels with these. The snap is a bonus also. I can put it right onto a hook in one of the shower stalls and go off to swim and if it was damp, it is totally dry by the time I get back to it. I like the size. It comes with its own mesh pouch. It's just about perfect in my humble opinion.
