Fine Compilation of Arabesque and Straight Ahead Arabic Song, September 17, 2003

Was totally blown away by many of the dance tracks on Disc One, including the mixes of Amr Diab and Ilham Madfai. The Boomtang song is as haunting and driving a tune you'll ever hear. The Rahbani cut gracefully combines the classic Arabic orchestra sound with a modern beat.
Disc Two contains the straightforward modern Arabic songs, some ok, some mesmerizing, but all listenable.
You could do much worse than purchase this fine compilation.
