5.0 out of 5 stars An enchanting version of a classic tale, April 21, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Arabian Nights (Hallmark Entertainment Books) (Paperback)
Arabian Nights is the second Hallmark Entertainment Book by Kathryn Wesley and even better than the first. Most of us are at least somewhat familiar with stories like Aladdin and Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. The stories are retold here with humor and style, along with some stories with which most people are not familiar. But the main story here is the story of the clever storyteller Scheherazade, which is the best story of them all.

4.0 out of 5 stars JOURNEY THROUGH THE ARABIAN NIGHTS, February 11, 2006

This review is from: Arabian Nights (Hallmark Entertainment Books) (Paperback)
Enchanting novelization of the oustanding mini-series from Hallmark Entertainment, itself based on the familiar stories of mystery, magic, love, and adventure collected in the famous A THOUSAND AND ONE NIGHTS. This book is especially well-written in an energetic, friendly style by author Kathryn Wesley, and the stories of genies, thieves, wizards and rogues each come to colorful life, united by the beautiful tale of the brave Scheherazade and her fight to save not only her own life, but also the life of the man she loves, through the power of story. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Arabian Nights, November 21, 2001

This review is from: Arabian Nights (Hallmark Entertainment Books) (Paperback)
Arguably the best film version of "A Thousand and One Arabian Nights" in exsistence. Between stories of humour, adventure, and fantasy is the intriguing story of Scherizade, second wife of the Sultan, who must tell her stories to save her life, and to save her husband from madness and his treacherous brother.
