This is a very laidback collection of Middle Eastern themed electronica and chill out. I can just put it on and listen to it or just have it as background music at home or at work. Not very repetitive or beat heavy but just very good and mellow. My favorite track on here is Moroccan Dance (Mix) by Rumi. I remember hearing this at the W Hotel lobby quite often recently and wanting to know who it was but couldn't find out and noone knew. Then when I purchased this set and found it on here I was quite happy to hear it again. It's a great track. Very mellow. Other tracks on here that are really good are Kafez by Nurai Lita, My Faith by Mantra, Spiritual Signs (Light Mix) by Tariq, Raqs Beledi by Al-Ghazali and You R the Light by Jawab-A-Shikwa. If you are at all into Middle Eastern themed Chill Out and Electronica then this collection is definitely worth it. Especially for the price!

First off, let me say that I am a bellydancer and lover of traditional and modern Middle Eastern Music. I love traditional music with a passion.

This is NOT traditional. It's modern, tranc-y chill out music with a Middle Eastern theme. If you are looking for actual middle Eastern music this isn't the CD for you.

I like this because it's something new and it's good for background music. It's the sort of thing you might hear at a hip martini bar with a little Eastern flair. It's also a really great deal!

That's the problem: nothing Arabic about it. The title is a sales gimmick. The quality of the music is also mediocre and little more than loops. Not good value for money.

I bought htis cd along with its two companion sets to expand my world music selection. Some of the tracks are very good, but they simply are not Middle Eastern. Surprisingly all three cd sets have the same type of music on them. But one is supposed to be Middle eastern, one Punjabi and one some other Eastern type of music.
I lived in Europe and loved the music in the Moroccan restaurants and clubs or the Turkish bars in Budapest. I really wish I would have had the foresight to buy those cds when I was there.
The music's sound is off if you know what real Middle Eastern music sounds like and you can tell alot of these tracks and hastily thrown together becasue they are so mind numbingly repetative
