Except for the cover, all the 165 motifs are in black and white. Each has origin and date given. Some are very good, being large and simplified, for goldwork embroidery. Others could be enlarged or simplified. worthwhile at this price.

I am well versed in the Arabic designs and I can tell you that most of the designs featured in this book are not Arabic, they are Farsi (originating in old Iran) which are not considered Arabic at all, especially the human designs..in Arabic culture you dont find drawing of humans at all but the rest of the designs are acceptable.
