Plays english very well, shows you if your stroke is off and you are accidentally putting side spin on the ball. it has been sent of my table onto concrete floor a few times and it didn't even show any marks

I've heard this particular Aramith ball was designed for TV, so spectators can actually see what type of spin, or action, the pros are putting on the ball. However, the great thing about this cue ball is it also helps players at home too. I love this ball because I can easily identify a miss-hit, or just observe how much action I'm getting on the ball. That said, while it makes for a great "practice" ball, it's not just for practice - it's a great cue ball overall. Aramith is top-of-the-line, and pretty much the standard for amateurs and pros alike (though Brunswick also makes high-end "pro" quality balls). If you're going to buy a cue ball, this is the one.

Didn't realize just how often I was mis-striking the cue ball until I starting using this device. In three words: humbling and helpful.

The Aramith Pro Cup 6 Red Dot Cue Ball is an aweseome training device for billiards. It allows me to improve my follow shot, stop shot, and draw shots by seeing the spin of the ball more easily. I recommend this to all beginner to moderate billards enthusiasts who want to improve their game either 8 ball or 9 ball... it does it all.

I wont say that it is going to turn you into Minnesota Fats, but the dots definitely help with developing your ball control. In my humble opinion I think it provides better feedback on what you are doing wrong as opposed to what you are doing right. There are times when I took certain shots that I was shocked to see what spin was actually being applied to the cue ball. Numerous times straight shots (or what I thought was straight) turned out to put fairly strong spin on the cue ball. I think that anyone who gets this ball will definitely be able to use it to improve their game if they take it seriously and study what they are doing.

I'm an avid pool player. But the pool hall I go to never has this ball. They only seem to carry a cue ball that has a single red dot. I just got it in the mail yesterday. I'm gonna be using it today.

Come on, it has a red dot and is made of high quality stuff. Doesn't get any better then this.
