I have had the SS-3X model of this series for almost 4 years. I bought it as a solution to kill mold, as the promotional material indicated the unit could penetrate through walls and kill mold at the source. It works! A very effective solution. I run my unit 24X7 as it helps clean the air in many ways. The trick is to buy a unit sized to the space you are treating.

After these 4 years or so my SS-3X has lost some its power and I will be upgrading to the NS series, as they are touted to last longer. The way I quickly tell if the unit is working is to put a rubber band around it. It used to be that the rubber band would break after a few days or so. Now it takes much longer before it breaks. Yes, the emissions cause rubber to deteriorate, so be careful where you place the unit.

We purchased the Knight Aranizer for a new home we were moving into that had; off gassing paint, cabinets, carpet and vinyl windows. The apartment had been painted 2 months earlier and still smelled really bad. I couldn't spend more than 30 minutes in the apartment without getting a sore throat. We slept in our trailer and ran the Aranizer every day for 2 weeks. At then end of this I could go inside the apartment for long periods of time.
We also have another Aranizer that we use at a hot yoga studio. It fights bacteria and this studio doesn't smell bad like other hot yoga studios.
It is really important to read the instructions fully before using this product. You want to know where to place it (NOT near your computer) and how high to run it for your space. If you use it properly it will work wonderfully and you should not experience bad side effects (ruining objects in your house etc.).

IT worked for a few yars and quit. The proplem with aranizers is that it will rust any metal around it and destroy some plastics
