About the Author

Aranzi Aronzo claim to be a Mexican-Japanese man and Norwegian Vietnamese-Indian man, working at securities firms and playing the tambourine full-time. What we do know about them, however, is that they are actually two sisters--Kinuyo Saito and Yoko Yomura--who create mischief and fun through high-cute (as in "high art") crafts and comics.

Besides having created and maintained a multi-million dollar independent enterprise of "Japanese cute" materials, stories, home accessories, furniture, dolls, and even alcohols, Aranzi Aronzo have also been responsible for the mascot design of the Aichi World Expo 2005.

I bought this book because my 10 y.o. son wanted to learn how to hand sew. Most sewing books for kids are geared to girls. As soon as he saw it, he went to work. He quickly learned how to copy the patterns and started making little creatures right away. He loves it! After making several from this book, he started creating his own little creatures.

It's easy to read and very straight forward. The little creatures only take a few minutes to make and are so adorable.

We both LOVE this book! We also have Cute Dolls and Fun Dolls. Many of the the creatures in the Cuter Book are smaller versions of the things in Cute and Fun Dolls. They are just smaller and easier to make.

This is a great book about making felt dolls. It has easy instructions to follow and lost of projects to complete. The only thing I did not like so much is that the patterns are so tiny, but you always can enlarge them, so you get the doll size you want.
