beautiful and insightful poetry,

Nancy Kuhl has written phenomenal poetry. Her attention to craft is startling in a writer this young. The poems in this chapbook immerse themselves in the beauty of life and loss and allow the reader to partake in Kuhl's fears and wisdom. The Wick series offers a glimpse of some great young writers.

I do not recall how I happened upon this chapbook of poems, but I am glad I did and hope to order more of Kent State's poetry publications. The poems here are intense and insightful, a complexity of loss and conservation.
