5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent all around set of pots and pans
I ordered this set when it was the gold box deal for $120. As of today, the price is still the same as it was then, so I consider this a great deal.

I have been looking for a nice set of stainless steel pots because my old set of only nonstick had become very scratched up, which some people believe to be dangerous. I like that there's only one nonstick pan in...

I ordered this set when it was the gold box deal for $120. As of today, the price is still the same as it was then, so I consider this a great deal.

I have been looking for a nice set of stainless steel pots because my old set of only nonstick had become very scratched up, which some people believe to be dangerous. I like that there's only one nonstick pan in this set. This way you have the nonstick only for when you need it, and you can baby it and treat it nicely by hand-washing and not using metal utensils.

The other selling point for me with this set was the unique handles. For anyone who has shakily tried to carry a heavy pot to the sink, this is the set for you. I actually spilled boiling water on myself trying to carry just such a pot and suffered a very painful burn as a result. The idea is that the handle will transfer the weight from your wrist to your forearm, which is generally much stronger. Still, I was a little worried that the 'weird looking' handle might seem awkward. My fears were assuaged when they arrived. They in fact feel very natural. Actually, I think it would be hard for me to ever go back to a traditional handle now.

Another nice feature is the straining holes located on the lid so you can drain off liquid. You could also use this as a steam vent during cooking if you'd like. Also, the lid for the medium sized pot fits the nonstick pan, which is another plus in my book.

The other reviewer is correct that the handles don't have slots for an over head pan rack, however *I* store my pots and pans in a cabinet, so it's fine for me.

I highly recommend this set, they are very well made, and a great buy in my opinion.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Pots, March 4, 2008

These pots are very heavy and are made well. Inside the pots they have markings for litters and quarts(in increments of .5). Another nice feature is that the lids on the pots can be used to strain the water out so you won't have to use a separate strainer which means less things to clean!

The angle of the handles are also nice because they don't put as much strain your wrists when you pick the pots up.

I absolutely love these pots and pans. There are so many great features, including the markings on the inside of the pots. I also love the straining feature. And as for the first review, I also don't use an overhead hanger, so the handles are not an issue for me.
These are a great deal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really impressed with this set, April 17, 2008

I just received this set of pots and I'm totally impressed with the quality. Nice heavy bottoms. Love the strain and pour feature and the curved silicone coated handles really are much easier to work with. I've checked out many different pots and pans in the dept. stores and these are by far the best. I couldn't be happier with the price or the quality.

Impressed with quality and ease of use. Cleans up easily and withstands even high heat used in Asian cooking.

My friends and family would love the same deal!

I bought these on the big kitchen sale day, so for the money they are great! The handles are really comfortable to use and it's nice that they don't stick out off the cooktop. (I have a toddler.) Also the pour spouts and draining lids are fantastic! I thought it might be a problem to not seal all the way making rice, but they actually make rice better than my Le Creuset! I suggest tightening the lid screws immediately as they do loosen, but overall they are wonderful and fun to use! The interior measurements are also super for those of us a bit lazy about measuring.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love love love this innovative design, April 24, 2008

If the previous poster is getting rid of his set, I'll buy it from him! Everyone who comes over wants it for themselves... The ease of use is phenomenal. I love being able to drain straight out of the pot, this has to be my favorite feature. The pots have a good weight to them and the handles and very comfortable to use (of course you have to lift the big pot with 2 hands when it's full of water!!!). I'm no professional chef, but for me, this set gets two thumbs up!

4.0 out of 5 stars Arc Stainless Steel Cookware Set, June 4, 2009
This review is from: Arc 42 Stainless-Steel 8-Piece Cookware Set (Kitchen)
Used these for several months now. Appeared very good in the beginning. Ergonomic handles makes holding them easy and comfortable. Easy to clean, non-stick, good performance. After several months the coating is starting to wear out - these are obviously not for a lifetime, but with care several years are possible. Bought the set at 1/2 price sale and they're a good buy at that price, but not at full retail.

5.0 out of 5 stars great set!, September 13, 2008
This review is from: Arc 42 Stainless-Steel 8-Piece Cookware Set (Kitchen)
I've had this set for about five months now and am quite happy with my purchase. The handles were well designed - they don't get in the way like other pots and pans! The teflon in the pan is still in perfect condition with regular usage.
