Thanks to this guide, Arc the Lad: End of Darkness is now one of my favorite games. The Bradygames guide provides lots of helpful information. The lists of monsters and Counter Tasks were especially valuable since nothing in the game really tells you what's out there. The chapters on spells, accessories, and store lists helped me a lot in figuring out what to buy and what capabilities were available. The book is filled with beautiful illustrations and screenshots. There were a few typos, and one of the pictures in the Monster guide was incorrect. Also, I found the layout of the maps a bit confusing. Overall, though, there was enough good information in this guide to make it worth having around. |
