The Wii is sadly lacking in arcade type shooting games, so when this was released we ordered it. Turns out it's likely targeted toward a very young audience. We did give it a chance, but for anyone over 8-10 years old it will seem very simplistic. It would have been good to have seen an age group referenced for the intended audience.
On the other hand, it is very colorful and would appeal to the younger players.

In my opinion, this game is totally mis-titled. You would think that a game called "shooting gallery arcade" would have a game in it that included a shooting gallery arcade...but it does not. Instead, you walk around a deserted carnival while shooting deranged pink elephants and psycho robot clowns that randomly attack you. It has a few mini-games, which would have been a lovely opportunity for the developer to include a shooting gallery...but they didn't. Instead they included a few lame games like darts, ski-bowl, and whack-a-mole. What in the world?
I was looking for a simple shooting game for my young boys (like the old Duck Hunt for the original Nintendo) but this is not it.

We bought this game- then got the guns for the game. When we pressed play, it says to disconnect the guns and just use the remote. I just used the remote like the instructions said. I didn't find the games that need a gun, but the gun still works with it. My wife kept her gun on and it still played well. Thus, you do NOT need to buy guns for this game. So, how fun was it? A bit confusing at first, but then it got easier to understand. My wife and I love the Time Crisis and Point Blank series, but this game would be good for 8-10 year kids. We tried darts, basketball, shoot the bad guy, and several of the games in the series. After about 15 minutes, we were pretty bored. The bottom line- if your 7-8 year old kid wants to get this game, they will like it.

Bought this game, gun included with it. Gun has space for nunchuck to be seated in trigger area and remote to point out the front. You might think that the game that comes with said gun would actually use one of the nunchuck buttons in the trigger area to fire; you might be sorely mistaken. You have to wrap your forefinger from your other hand around the front of the barrel and hit the B button on the remote, and there are no control settings to change which button fires. My kids are 4 and 6, and they still might like it; also, the gun is pretty well-made, with places to tuck all of the wires and straps out of the way so it looks good and simple.
So, I'm keeping this instead of trying to return it. I'll just need to make sure we replace the game with something else fairly soon so my kids don't get used to having to block the barrel of a gun with their finger for it to work :/

My wife and I have had a hard time finding age appropriate games for our son (age 4) that aren't too violent or don't require a lot of reading to get around in the game. This game is right at his level. If you are looking for something more mature look elsewhere.

This game is not worth $1.00 to me. It is very boring and the music is completely annoying. I would not buy this game again or even suggest it to anyone.

I was looking for a fun family friendly shooter. This isn't it. Poor design and controls. Sold it back to the local video store for $2. The guy at the counter said..."What is this?! I've never even heard of this."

We bought this game for our five year old son. He loves it. Easy to learn and a lot of laughs for all. Perfect for kids under 8. The older kids do find it to be lame.

Rip off if bought with gun! Beware non-Nintendo products!,

We bought this game packaged with what looks like a shotgun, but is called a "Zoo Blaster." It is a slightly annoying setup to hook up the nunchuck and thread wires all over and through the gun, but the nunchuck buttons end up where the "trigger" would be and the main remote buttons are up on the front barrel. THE GAME DOES NOT RECOGNIZE ANY USE OF THE NUNCHUCK!! So you are supposed to hold the gun with one hand on the barrel, shooting using the button on the main remote on the underside of the barrel! If you buy the game without a gun, then I suppose you'll be happy to know it works well with what you have and the other reviews here are helpful. Unfortunately, we are upset with the clearly false expectations created by the packaging. Also, you should note that this game is made by "Zoo Games" and NOT Nintendo. Apparently (so we were told by the folks at Best Buy), Nintendo is not very good about protecting their brand so there are lots of problems due to other companies creating things that don't work or don't work like you expect them to, anyway. Of course, because it's software and we opened it, nobody will refund us our money or allow us to return it.

This is a very basic shooting game. Would be great for pre-schoolers. No challenge at all for the more experienced gamer. (and I am a newbie)
