I'd definitely recommend this to anyone seeking their first recliner and looking to save some money.

The foot rest when raised is not even strong enough to hold up my legs when fully extended.

This a great little recliner! Not too big, just right for those corner spaces where you want a chair but not one of those massive things with all the gizmos that you have to put a foot or more away from a wall to keep it from banging it up. This is also a good chair for older folks too since you don't sink 12 feet down into a pit when you sit in it! On top of that it is very comfortable to sit or recline in. (I nearly fell asleep in it when I tried it out!) It is actually much more comfortable than many of the chairs I tried out in the furniture store or department store that cost 3 or 4 times as much. The only drawback is the limited color selection but since this is a fairly nuetral color it wasn't a problem for me. The only assembly is sliding the back onto the frame and it's quite easy to do. The chair doesn't weigh a ton either yet it seems very sturdy and well made. I compared it to the $99 recliner Sears was offering at the local store and this chair is way better! The fabric and stitching on this chair is much better and delivery was free. (Sears isn't of course). The Sears promo recliner is junk next to this chair. I saved a whopping $163 over the next cheapest recliner ($259) at the local furniture store because they charge $89 for delivery and then sales tax too. If I had room for two I'd buy another!

A good basic recliner for the money. For some reason slightly larger than the beige.
It comes boxed-assembly is easy-back clicks into place. Sage color is towards the
grey end of the spectrum. The beige tends to be toward the warmer side.

Bought this to replace a La-Z-Boy® Richfield recliner that fell apart right underneath me.

Very nice especially for the price, pretty much as described and as reviewed. An advantage to the reclining mechanism is that the seat moves forward when the back reclines, allowing the chair to be closer to the wall, unlike my previous La-Z-Boy.

The big EXCEPT was the leg rest would not "latch" when lowered. Well... 'it would if you stood directly in front, held both arms and gave it a good, swift kick (or two). Other than that it would get five stars. Latch is not really accurate, it's a toggle-over-center mechanism, that toggles over to a "locked" state when you close it (if it is working). The "latch" on the arm just pushes the toggle back over-center which allows the spring loaded leg rest to rise, and the reclining action to operate.

This failure could be pretty dangerous if one were infirm or a small child.

In any case, Amazon is shipping out a new one.

Don't discard the packing right away, and check on return policy if you don't buy it from Amazon.

Update:

Replacement arrived, works fine. well worth the nice, low price. From 1 to 5 stars.

Ok. So I guess I learned a lesson; ordering a recliner online and thinking that it would arrive in safe condition was a wishful thinking proposition. The acme sage microfiber recliner indeed arrived, within 2 weeks of order, however it has the following issues:
1)it is made from the cheapest and truly thinnest materials possible- so if you knock on the sides, a thin layer of plywood is heard.
2) The cushions below the fabric are polyurethane type so I highly doubt it would survive more than six months in a normal use household before it sinks.
3) The actual box arrived DAMAGED with a 1 inch ripped hole on the side of recliner near by the lever to pull up the recliner. While it was packed in a large cardbox, when opened- the hole was already there and it appears like durijng shipping the box took a hit or the thin plywood on the side of the chair broke and the fabric (sage green) ripped. by the time we discovered it, the truck has left and now we cannot return it without paying 50-100$ to return it so we have to fix it ourself.
4)The product itself is built a best as something you should plan on using for 6 month and hope for another 6 but definitely not as a 'keeper'.
5) the picture of 'sage green' is much darker than the reality which is light sage green.

Overall, very unhappy with purchase even-though I was hoping to prove myself wrong because it was 'amazon' product versus a 'external seller'- but nope, it is what it is-- very cheaply made in china recliner. Bad for amazon's reputation.

I am a small frame person so I ordered this recliner and I love it, especially the price. It does not have all the bells and whistles but it definetly works for me. Not too big and not too small. Closing it is not as easy as some but a great chair for the price.

I bought the first chair a month ago for the same price and was pleasently surprised to find it was a comfortable recliner chair for the money . It wasn't quite as comfy as some of the more expensive models but you get your monies worth. I have the first one in the living room and as a disabled woman it is very comfortable to relax in , so I purchased a matching one for my husband too.

If you are taller than 5'6" or weight more than 170lbs this is not the chair for you. This chair is for small people. The fit and finish is good enough but good luck sending it back if you change your mind. by the time I got mine the box was partially open and I had to inspect it with the delivery company. The foot rest when raised is not even strong enough to hold up my legs when fully extended. Save this one for the elderly. This chair is also to light in the construction dept and the arm rests are too low for me to get comfortable and I'm of average height and weight for a male.
