This review is from: Archangel: CIA's Supersonic A-12 Reconnaissance Aircraft (Paperback)
This flimsy booklet isn't worth it's exorbitant price, or even the shipping cost. As an aviation buff, with particular interest in the A-12 and it's offshoots, I was expecting an in-depth presentation with information from long-concealed CIA files providing a new view of this amazing machine. Instead, it was like reading an 8th grade-level summary of the program's history. If anyone remembers the elementary school newspaper "National Scholastic" from the '50s, where stories from the national news were condensed and simplified for consumption by children, they will have a good understanding of how this booklet relates to other works on this topic--this example is it's literary equivalent. If Amazon had a star rating system that included a "minus" star category, it would had been checked by me. Amazon's software apparently requires that at least one star must be checked in order for the review be judged "complete" and ready to post on-line.
