Rare are those shows that actually grow and show improvement with each subsequent season. This is one of those shows...

While the first season focused mainly on the ensemble aspects, it still revolved mostly around the title character. I am, in no way, taking anything away from Season One. It still stands head and shoulders above the typical sitcom dribble that pollutes network TV. However...I have to say that I laughed like I haven't in years watching the second season.

The supporting cast was definitely more fleshed out (as much as you can in an animated series). The cancer themed episodes, while gut bustingly hilarious at times, also showed a side to Sterling that wasn't there in season one...a bit of a soft side. Pam, Cheryl, and Krieger each had several times to shine as stand alone characters of interest. I have to give the MVP of season two to Pam, though. Her past is more brought to light and the "kidnapping" episode really shows you just how strong her character is (literally and figuratively). Lana, Cyril, and Malory still seem pretty one dimensional...but each have their moments in the sun this season as well.

Hands down...still one of the funniest and smartest comedies in TV history...and second only to Arrested Development.

Archer is easily my favorite show of all time. The second season was amazing and I'm counting down the days until season 3 begins. Even if you've seen all the episodes this season's special features are worth the money. I've never laughed so hard on one of the special features. Archer is a great show, it has some of the best one liners I've seen come from a show. The cast is great and group of very funny people with H. Jon Benjimen in the lead. I would recommend everyone to see this show.

It's a really funny show, but why is it censored? There's a scene with five seconds of bleeping in it! Even though I've watched the show since the beginning and have the first season on DVD already, it didn't really annoy me that much until this scene.

Love the adult humor of the show, Archer is my favorite spy! from his lack of one liners to his ability to be the #1 spy while being #1 with the ladies. This show just has me cracking up at all the jokes. Season 3 starts in a week and I can't wait to catch it. If you like adult humor,spys,guns,etc this series you'll probably like.

The 3 part episode "heart of Archness" is not on this disk, I am kinda mad but since its technically not part of any season its not to be expected

Animated comedies feel like a dime a dozen right now. Some hit, some miss, but this one stands out as truly unique. It's all about the snarky one liners here. They're sharp, they're witty, and they're well timed. A dysfunctional spy agency isn't entirely a new idea, but it works for this James Bond gone semi-wrong plot line. Each character is unique and twisted in their own right. They just play off of each other really well and carry enough baggage to keep the one liners coming. I was actually very surprised to read in an interview that the voiceovers are recorded separately and strung together because the dialogue flows so naturally. There is a bit more depth, substance, and character development in the second season, but that is not at the expense of the randomness and frequency of the humor that first caught my attention when I gave the show a shot. Humor is very much a matter of personal taste, and it is an oversimplification to try to compare this to Family Guy, South Park, the Simpsons, or any other successful animated comedy. It's dry, but biting, crosses the PC line often enough, makes no apologies, and it's honest. My guy friends tend to connect with it more quickly, but my fiancee and a few of my girl friends are starting to warm up to it a bit with some effort on my part.

It's always fun to just sit back and watch the comic failings of Sterling Archer. Mixed with the motley crew of support personnel, it's a wonder they don't kill each other. With the witty dialogue, and the clever innuendo, Archer has become a favorite of my entire circle of friends,

Season three is on my shopping list next.

Seriously the funniest show on TV since Arrested Development was cancelled. The actors are all perfectly cast and there is so many things going on that the show gets better with each repeat viewing.

When I first heard about the Archer series, I was sure I wouldn't like it. A spy spoof, animated (meh), filled with deliberate anachronisms, and a lead character who is shallow, vain, ignorant, neurotic and spoiled -- but also a very good spy.

A while back, bored one evening, I queued up the first episode on Netflix...and loved it. And it isn't just Archer himself either, but everyone there at ISIS is seriously bent. (Personal non-Archer favorite: Cheryl/Carol, the sometime rubber-cement addict, sexual masochist, and certifiable insane secretary...with a pet ocelot (always sick), an aversion towards little people, pyromania, and fascinating family history (no spoilers...).

Anyway, I've watched all the episodes multiple times, and even on repeat viewings still make me laugh until my sides hurt. And to me, the key question I always ask when I'm thinking about buying a DVD is "will I watch this more than once?" When it comes to Archer, absolutely.

Love the show when it first premiered and it's just gotten better since. The Blu-Ray is crisp and bright like you'd want it to be and really "pops" with the colors in the show. Great Stuff!
