My two-year old, crazy-about-dinosaurs daughter loved this book, and so do I. It is essentially a retelling of the Ugly Duckling fairy tale. Archie is small and unattractive, and one day his friends' teasing gets out of hand. His feelings are hurt and he runs off. His friends immediately realize that they have been mean and go off in search of him. When they find him, something wonderful has happened, and all is forgiven.

The drawings in this book are lovely. The story is simple but effective. And, for those of you who read a lot to your kids, there are not too many words, so it's a perfect "last but short" book before bed.
