Normally I disapprove of reviewers who rate a product based upon shipping damage, or other problems not directly related to the product, however, in the case I am breaking my own rule.

I have just received the first of two of these lights. The first was shipped by FedEx, the second will arrive by UPS. The first light was dented on both ends, with paint chipped off due to the damage. I was forced to bend everything back in place, but due to the initial damage, things are not as tight as they could be. If these lights were not destined for the garage, I would have scheduled a return.

The description indicates that the lights use ""FT34T12" bulbs. It should read "F34T12", BUT according to the sticker on the ballast, this light actually uses F32T8 bulbs. I'm glad I checked the ballast before heading to the hardware store. I would not recommend using F34T12 bulbs in this light, as you may severely shorten the lifespan of the ballast.

So, damage and incorrect information. I suppose I should have just bought some lights at the hardware store, even if they cost a bit more.

Edit: The second light arrived via UPS even more damaged than the first. It also contains a completely

different ballast from the first. This ballast WILL drive two F34T12 bulbs.

My recommendation... STAY AWAY from this product online, you never know what you're going to get,

or what condition it will be in when it arrives. Buy it in store only, if you can find it.

I've purchased Precision Products before and, like all of them, they are great products for reliability,quality, and price. You can't go wrong here.
