I prefer plastic cutting boards to wooden because of their durability and ease of cleaning, but I hate throwing away plastic that will live forever in a landfill, so I tried this one when it came time to replace my last plastic cutting board. First of all, I really like its vibrant red color, it is just good to look at. Secondly, it doesn't seem to leave as obvious cut marks as my other plastic boards so I don't worry as much about bacteria lurking in the board. Most of all I really love the idea that it is made from plant by-products and I almost can't wait to recycle it when I'm done, though it seems durable enough that I don't think that's going to happen any time soon.

this cutting board is great, i bought the green one for vegetables and the red one for cutting meat. the board is a nice big size but i can still squeeze it into the dishwasher for easy cleaning. i was a little worried this board would 'degrade' prematurely but it looks the same as it did when i bought it 6mos ago.

Small enough not to take up so much room. I like that it is eco-friendly. Have been using it and it has stayed smelling clean.

This is a great cutting board, big enough, doesn't scratch, doesn't stain, doesn't soak in anything. I haven't found any downside to this product yet.

I got this board because of the color and the fact that it is a "green" item. It handles meat well and does not scratch or pit easily. Cleans up in the dishwasher wonderfully! I will buy more of these to have on hand. You won't be disappointed.

I have owned two Ecosmart PolyFlax cutting boards (both purchased at the same time) and so far one "shattered" after about 7 months of use when a big chunk fell off one end. This happened when I dropped it in the sink. It was not thrown with force or dropped from a great height, merely plunked down besides other diskes in the sink. I liked this product initially but I have heard from another owner that hers shatterd similarly when she was trying to chop up some duck legs. If this plastic can't take that ammount of stress then they need to rethink their upcycling strategy and stick to making products who don't require the daily wear and tear a cutting board receives. The edges on the broken pieces were also surprisingly sharp. I will not be purchasing another.

Since I separate my cutting of vegetables and meat I ordered this cutting board to be an easy visual remender of which board I need at the moment. This cutting board fits the bill perfectly. Its size is just right for working with meat, and its color is fun to work with.

Bought this at Target (sorry, Amazon) over a year ago and have been super pleased with it- just wished they carried it in different sizes! It makes a great cutting surface. It doesn't "catch" your knife like some poly boards, so it doesn't seem to dull them as quickly and it provides a nice, clean cut. Washes up in the dishwasher beautifully, and I like that when it wears out, that Ecosmart will take it back and recycle it! Very happy with this product!

The board is very good size for chopping & slicing, having decent width as well as lenghth. I picked this board over other boards because of the longer width. What I hate the most about this board is the fact that it slides around the counter while I am working on it. It is very annoying to have the borad constantly move this way and that way. Other negative attributes are that it shows knife marks, and the fact that it has warped a bit already in the 3 months I have owned it. Of course it slides even more since it is now warped. I am going to search for a better board.

I agree it is a good cutting board and a good size and personally I like the food grade plastic better than wood just because it does not absorb moisture unlike wood. But let me tell you one thing- if you cook often and cut veggies on this board, it scratches. I guess I was hoping for a scratch-free board. I still rate this 4/5. Green color is pretty cool too.
