Hard to find, but worth it!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Architects of Conspiracy: An Intriguing History (Hardcover)
If you can find a copy of this book, you'll dicover your quest was well worth it. If you can't find this book, you can read William P. Hoar's work in the more recent, and even better, Handouts and Pickpockets, which can also be ordered through Amazon. Also, he is a writer for The New American, which is a monthly publication you will enjoy if you agree with thinking like Hoar's. As for this book, it is a compilation of earlier articles. It gives the reader a very good feel for the history of political deception.

Historical Facts You Were Never Taught,

This review is from: Architects of conspiracy: An intriguing history (Paperback)
I first read this book in 1991, then my wife gave me my own copy (at my request) for my birthday in 1996 and I just had to read it again. If you like to know the dirty little secrets behind modern America you will love this book. From Andrew Carnegie being raised by parents who were contemporaries of Marx and Engles, to the Kansas City Machine -- mobsters who backed the young Harry Truman for congress -- you will not be able to put down this book without reconsidering all you were taught in grade school. Hoar's underlying message in the introduction is really the crux of the work -- that history is truly nothing more than a chronology of the successes and failures of ambitious people. Find out just how ambitious some of your favorite historical figures were, or moreso, who the ambitious personalities were behind the scenes that counselled and guided them. Enjoy.
