We were looking for a mailbox that is secure and would not rust; so we purchased the Architectural Mailboxes 2407. It seems well made with no sharp edges on the metal. We do not have a rain free location for our mailbox and this mailbox is not waterproof; so rain gets into it. It would be best to put it into a dry location. Other than the rain problem, it works out well for us. The manufacturer is local but the product is made in China. It really should be made to keep the mail dry and it could be if Architectural Mailboxes would make some adjustments to it.
