Very pleased with how fast this came, the price, and no shipping or tax charges. I had the opportunity to ask our mailman if he had any suggestions for locking mailboxes, and this one was the first one he wrote down an address for me to look at. Lucky for us it was the same one we each came up with after searching the internet. From the delivery side, he said that some locking mailboxes have such a small opening that a box of checks do not fit in to it. This one seems great so far.

After some neighborhood brats were messing with everyones mail, we decided to invest in a nice locking mailbox. We did a lot of research and found that Architectural Mailboxes was the brand we wanted to go with. Thanks to Amazon, it showed up about 3 days later.... very fast shipping. Right out of the box it looked HUGE compared to our old one, but once it was on the pole and out in the yard it looks perfect. It is very well built, has seals on both doors and hasnt leaked a drop since we put it up. The neighbors love it and it really adds curb appeal to the house. We also bought the heavy duty pole (Oasis in ground pole) and install was very easy. I bought a concrete sonus tube at Home Depot, buried it about 18" down, filled it with concrete and slid the pole in. Leveled everything and let it set over night. The next day it was as solid as, well.....concrete. Install of the box on the pole was easy, 4 bolts and its done. The inside of the mailbox is huge. We've had all kinds of mail delivered in the past 3 weeks, including parcels, magazines and standard mail. Everything fits with tons of room to spare. Both doors feel solid, and well insulated from the weather. Even our mailman commented on how nice the box was. We are very happy with this mailbox and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well built, quality locking mailbox. Its a nice feeling to be able to go on vacation now and not have to worry about asking someone to pick up your mail, or people tampering with it while you're away. The size of this mailbox should easily hold 2 weeks or more of an average households mail if on vacation. Hope this was helpful.

I've had my mail stolen several times and decided to install a locking mailbox. I was looking for a box that was attractive and functional. Many of the boxes I looked at had the locking section in the front with a slot above to deposit the mail. Unfortunately, with these mailboxes, I was able to push my hand through the slot and reach the floor of the box.
This box is attractive, has the locking door in the back, and it is nearly impossible to get at the mail without a crowbar.
I'm very happy with this purchase.

I bought this for a civic association mail box and it has been exceptional. It has survived a break in where the intruder tried to use a screwdriver to pry open the rear door and to try to pry the box off the post. Neither attempt worked and the box is still functional today. Excellent prodcut!

This is a very substantial mailbox! It looks very nice, holds things like magazines and bulky mail. It is also secure, much like the big mailboxes the post office uses. There is no way to get your hand into the box to reach the mail.
It is sturdy, while looking classy. The thing I like about it, as I haven't seen it at Home Depot or Lowes or stores like that. In fact, this is the first time I've seen a box like this. It is a bit on the pricey side, but I think it will be well worth it in the years ahead. I no longer have to depend on my neighbor to pick up my mail.

This mailbox has met all our expectations.We wanted a locking box large enough for magazines and a bit of mail and with good weather seals, and we got it, with style to boot. Our neighbors in our court have mailbox envy! I thought I was being a little extravagant, but it was worth it. It just looks so dang good! And I know our mail is still there, even if we don't get to it right away.

I've had this installed for several months and it's holding up, looks great! So far no wet mail which is a big improvement from my last mailbox. Easy to install, curbside access is a real perk!
