The Archos Mini Dock is a compact adapter that extends the functions of your Archos Internet Media Tablet (IMT) to include video output and USB device connections. This multi-function accessory is the ideal companion for your Archos. Charge your Archos battery faster with the adapter/charger, view your photos and movies on a television with the video output connectors, transfer media from your PC to your Archos, and connect compatible USB devices in order to transfer files directly to your Archos, without a computer.

Adapter/Charger
Quickly charge your Archos 5, Archos 5g, or Archos 7 IMT with the included adapter/charger. You'll get a full charge much faster than using the standard USB cable.

Audio/Video Out
Enjoy high-quality video on your TV using the S-Video or Composite outputs, and accompanying sound via the stereo audio output. View your favorite photos and movies on most televisions.

USB 2.0 Host
Connect most USB devices to your Archos and transfer files. Enjoy direct download of pictures from most digital cameras, or transfer files from a USB key or hard drive.

USB 2.0 Device
Transfer media files from your computer using your Archos as a Mass Storage Class (external PC hard drive mode) compatible drive for Windows, Mac and Linux. Or use MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) to sync content with Windows Media Player including protected music (WMA) or videos (WMV) files.

This little device is so simple so easy, to be able to make your Archos 5 almost like a PC. With the port making the Archos a USB host I can use my other devices with it. When I got on a trip I bring this so when I fill up my Camera with photos I can just transfer all of my pics straight to my Archos and I am ready to go. When at family or friends house and you want to share music, movies, pics, and/or home films, the dock has two ports for external displays. The pack comes with all the cords and the AC plug so you can get a fully charged battery in less than 3 hours which is much faster than the USB cord that comes with the Archos.

I love this adapter and I take it with me everywhere I go! If you have a archos and you want to broaden the abilities of it, BUY THIS!!!

The pictures show an Archos 5 standing up vertically attached to this mini dock. Without modifications, it's NEVER going to do that, it simply falls over. How dumb is that? Other than that it's fine, it keeps the battery charged and allows you to keep the unit on all the time.

Archos technical support is rather lame. I had a problem using Flash XMLsockets to connect to a server. The tech response was "I don't think this device even supports XML". So much for tech support understanding their own product. By the way, I got it working.

The mini dock is not bad for the price but shortly after buying it I also purchased the dvr station. Now that I have I have my DVR station the only thing I really use the mini dock for is to charge it from a wall socket (which is a really nice feature). Other than that the mini dock is quite usesless to me. However, for what it is designed to do it preforms quite nicely and, overall, I was satisfied with it...
