I used this thing a few times and I'm very pleased. Records like a charm. One suggestion, pay attention to the volume when you record, but that comes with experience.

Works great, I'm recording the DVD movies I have in my archos. They look very good, great image quality. Easy to use.

I have purchased several of these DVR snap-on adapters to use with the Archos 5 device to record video from NTSC/PAL camera video source. They make a great way to view and record the video from the camera and the system is small and light weight. The DVR snap-on is a great accessory but I wish Archos had included the USB connector that is on the battery dock, since the pre-android Archos devices required a custom USB cable that often gets lost.

I bought this device primarily for importing video to my Archos 7. My Archos 7 does not have a built in input to record video or sound from external device, such as dvd player, VHS recorder, TV settop box etc. The quality of the video it recorded is not HD quality, it is 640x480 (pretty much a standard VGA quality). But to replay on Archos 7's 7" LCD, the quality is quite clear. I like this device a lot, it is plug and play, very easy to setup.

I love the archos7 , but archos tec assist is none excistant, I have contacted them three different times with download issues and web TV questions.. Each time I have been placed on hold and waited at least twenty minutes only to find out the call is dropped.I still haven't received a call back or e-mail.

Though the product works i am going to use this to gripe mostly about Archos for these reasons. They charge way too much, for far too many things, and have a tendency to advertise to their american audience deceptively by leaving out certain information. For example saying a machine can do something and then not mentioning you have to pay for it to be able to do that. Another would be to say it will do soemthing and then later down the line stating that they no longer plan on doing that, such as with being able to receive tv broadcasts. Or creating a gadget to to do one aspect like record television, but leaving out that you can't play it back on the tv using that very same gadget. They need to consolidate their aresenal, include all their playback software with the machine and not charge 20 to 45 bucks a pop to have them on their, improve the interaction of their product with the user, and overall quit thinking they are making a good product simply because the screen is larger than an ipod touches. As far as coming back to their product. Until they improve all that i have forementioned i will not be going back to them, and i would highly suggest you get a netbook with a long life battery before investing in the gimmickiness of this sluggish and highly overrated machine. Sorry guys, that's just been my expireince three machines in. And I have heard their newest doesnt do or offer much more than before.

aun no se realmente para que sirve, no lo recomiendo no funciona bien y para poder recargar el archos hay que comprar un producto adicional para poderlo hacer lo cual es típico en lo relacionado a esta marca
