The Archos 2 Vision's new interface features a tactile slider that lets you browse through lists and control the sound volume just by caressing the device. You no longer need to keep pressing the buttons endlessly to reach the end of your music library. Just flick the slider with your finger in order to easily navigate through your files.

First let me say I am a huge Archos fan. I was using an Archos 20gb mp3 player before Apple even made an Ipod. Currently have 2 hard drive models. Needed another one so I went for a vision 2. Its operating controls are basically unusable. The scroll bar thing was a horrible idea. Takes you all day to get mid way through your files. The worst thing was its operating system is completely unusable. I do not believe I played a single album without it freezing mid play. The thing just does not work with any kind of reliability. It's a shame, you could buy a much better MP3 player five years ago.

decent player but if you are buying for the fm transmitter don't bother as there is none. Also no shuffle. other than that ok

I have order several popular mp3 players. This was the only one that kept the music together in the files that I transferred. It saved much searching for the songs that I wanted to hear. The down side is the slider bar to move through the menu list. Once I got use to it, it was OK but I preferred the rotating dial method. All things considered, I like this unit and it was the right price for the value.
